Forge BPV Installed

we used the blue spring and no shims for the install. First we installed it to VTA but apparently my car didn't like it. It kept sputtering/stalling and the CEL would flash on and off. Weird!!! Although we didn't disconnect the battery but not sure how much good that would have done anyway. So we reconnected the recirc hose & so far so good. I really like the sound, I just wish it was as loud as it was in VTA. It still turns heads though, and I'm such a ricer that I can see myself upgrading to a different valve soon (probably Turbosmart since its the loudest LOL).

yeah!!! After I bought it my friend told me it was pretty rare... I guess there's not a difference between the black & silver ones other than color though, right?

i have the turboxs h-rfl VTA its the loudest BOV on the planet, scares the crap out of people walking down the street..lol but if you go with that youll have to have a piggy like the standback to pull fuel between shifts or youll get alot of poping out the tail pipe. I'm using a map made by Jordan at cp-e and i have almost no poping at all runs perfect.

Patty, one of the the kids around here is running a turbosmart. And it runs real well. Do not know details but it has the vta horn. Not like me of course. Black Forge on and strong like bull. My car is much much faster. I probably would take to the track again to note the difference. Before 13.75, now The Forge and the Nitto's hmmm. I feel a sponsorship coming. Patty?

I was having boost issues with my stock valve leaking. I also noticed the piping to and from the IC was getting soft and distorting. Once I was able to build and maintain boost with some upgrades the car runs much stronger. I had a bad stock valve. that is my only comparison. But the car now is quite rapid.

That video is a very good representation of how the Forge sounds.

Be patient. Forge makes a quality product at an amazing price. They are fully aware that not everybody is enamored of that sound and are working on changes to eliminate the ping.
