What kind of turnaround time do you expect? From release to manufacture. I assume you also will run more than the requested 100 pcs. Cool idea even with out the angle towards driver. Hope it all works for out. Best luck to us!

The tool takes approx. 5-6 weeks to build. Dimensional approval of the parts may take an additional week or so, based on whether or not the part is good straight out of the gate. Once the tool is validated, parts only take a day or so to run. The 100 pcs is a bogey for right now. I'm massaging the design just a bit more, and once the final model is ready, I'll get a formal quote from my source. That quote will dictate how many we need. Obviously, I would like to make as many as possible.
The goal is to get enough people on board, so that the piece price is as low as it can get for the small quantity of parts we need. It would be nice to get that price down to fair market value. I don't want today's buyers to have to pay more than tomorrow's buyers, know what I mean. ;)

so then what is the total cost finally? I am interested, but have no idea what it costs.

The more interest we have in the product the less expensive it will be. Elbows is projecting that the price is going to be similar to the other gauge pod systems on the market. As he acquires a quote for tooling time, we will be better informed to answer that question. But I do know one thing.. It will be affordable (thumb)

Excellent response sir

Yep! The more that get in, the cheaper each part will cost. Like LT says, once I get the quote back, I'll be able to project some solid figures. ;)

What's the count so far?

according to the first post it looks like 23 people and 27 pods...

i have a general question for the people that are wanting 2.. this is out of my own pure curiosity... question: why 2??? i know that we do have 2 circle vents but the other one is on the passanger side... unless i got jipped and everyone has 5 like the ms6's except for me...

and also im asking this on behalf of a friend.. if anyone knows answer plz.. do our ms3s have the same size vents as the ms6?

Okay, I just ordered up one prototype. When it comes in, I'll get some good pics of it, and I'll install it in our "test vehicle" (a colleague of mine has been nice enough to let me plunder his i/p). ;)

I'll keep everyone posted.
