mazdaspeed hood bra? anyone got any pics?

When I think of bras on cars I think of that video by "The Fresh Prince" called Parents Just Don't Understand and he is driving his dad's Porsche.

I would do the 3m Clear bra. I did it to my ride as soon as i got it. Love it to death. Dont know it is there. Its a little pricey but beats the hell out of the typical bra that could screw up the paint.

I've been looking into 3M for a while now until I just found Venture Shield, does anyone have experience with them? I've found they are a bit cheaper and have a lifetime warranty instead of a 3yr that 3M offers.

Back in '89 when I got my 1st gen Integra, I put a bra on it. Intructions said never to leave it on in the rain. I took it off the first few times it rained, then I just got sick of it and left it on for a while or off for a while.

It definately does scratch your paint. As far as dated, read the first sentence...

3M will probably be a better film than the venture guard. Also make sure the shop doing it at least has them machine cut the pieces. I got my whole bumper done and along with the hood, mirror, fender kit and under the door handles done.
Also got the headlights and fog lights covered as well.

clear guard/ autoshield... whatever people want to call it is a way better option than the bra or a bug deflector. In the sun the kit is almost invisible, unless your really trying to look for it.

My friend did mine and he uses Expel

I've been trying to read comparisons between the two, apparently 3M is thicker and doesn't bend as easily and has an orange peel effect where the venture guard is thinner and easier to work with. From my reading its all about the installation, either brand can be great or crap depending on how its installed. I found a guy that does all the installs on all the Lotus and Aston Martins and quoted me entire bumper, hood, mirrors, fenders, lights and door handles over $100 cheaper than the 3M.

That leather bra may not be a bad idea for temporary use on road trips. I actually saw a red Porsche today that had a color matched red leather bra. I had to look twice before I realized it was a bra. It actually didn't look bad at all.

here is a picture of the bra on my car 0329081106.webp

What brand did you go with? I think I'm going to get Venture Guard installed in the next week sometime.

I got the avery one. I was talking to the guy and he said that avery is the easiest to take off, and lasts really well. easy to take off is good.

Thats good, I'm hoping I wont have to take it off but you never know. With that F16 fighter pilot mod I bet you get tons of debris hitting the front of your car.

well, sections are sometimes bubbling up or getting chunks taken out of them from road debris... it's nice to know that when the bra people come to fix it (for free) it won't take them that long.

Yeah thats good, I found the venture guard warranty kind of sneaky, they warranty the bra for life for bubbling, cracking, and yellowing but that doesn't include the labor to put it on.

oh the company that did mine does it for free I'm pretty sure. they didn't give me a receipt though so they might try and get sneaky on me. I have a tiny bubble on it.

Leather bras will scratch the thin clear coat...

Go for a 3M clear bra (5 year warranty) or Venture shield (lifetime warranty)

Google for more info.

I'm going with the venture shield, installed the day I pick her up.

i just called about the venture shield, $700 bucks installed.. ouch

Yeah I got a $700 quote from venture shield too but 3M wanted $800 or $950 depending on location to do it and not cover the headlights, fog lights, or under door handles.
