i wanna make my 4 stud into a 5 stud with discs all around

what is the most cost effecient way to take a 2002 protege ES and take it from a 4 stud drums in the back to a 5 stud disc breaks on all four ?
 
my protege is a 2.0 ltr but it has drums in the back ? do you know if a MP5's brake assemblys swap into a 02 protege?
 
Yes..they will swap...But I think you need the trailing Arms and all.
Not just the brakes.
There is a bit of info on this subject..just search around a bit and you will find what you need.
 
so i guess my car was suposed to have discs all around , i have the 2 litre motor and it is a 2002 ES but the motor isnt the stock motor. so i think before i bought the car someone put the 2litre in it but the car was ment to be a 1.8 whcih isnt suposed to have discs all around ... soo now to the junkyard i go!
 
If you're in Canada, you are right. All 2002 US ES models had 5 lugs, which was the ES-GT up north.
 
yep done this myself, if you don't have access to a wrecked P5 or es (esgt for you i think) this is what you would need.

front hub assembles from a five lug
rear hub assemblies from a five lug
rear calipers
rear brake lines
rear, front and rear lateral arms (trailing arms)
the long bolt that connects the hub assembly to the trailing arms in the rear, the stock one from the drum brakes aren't long enough
brake line brackets for the rear

some say you need to swap the brake booster, i didn't and haven't had any problems
 
man you guys rock ill let you know on how this goes, i am looking at getting the parts this week and swapping it over next week

Any chance any of you have the parts numbers.

I have a part number just want to make sure its correct.

How come nobody tries to use wheel adapters from 4 lug to 5 lug. Is it that no one makes them for our application?
