He says the Mazda's are just Ford products. I know they own something like 33% of the company but was it right for him to say it's really just a FORD?

The superchips website doesnt list anything for Mazda yet. The Cortex models are $500, for somewhere between 15-40hp according to that video it doesnt really seem worth while to me.


Edit: I should have read some more of the features, could be an interesting unit.

After listening to him talk about what is to come, I wonder how long it is going to be before the Cortex or something will come out for the Speed3. If it is only 4 Ford computers that they need to to tame (paraphrasing here), then wouldn't Superchips have something already? Hmmm...It may not be that easy after all.

I am currently talking with Ken at Supperchips. He is seeing what types of tunes he can do for us. Ill keep everyone updated.

Is this similar to what the Cobb Access Port does just without being preprogrammed for cobb parts? If so this would be come in quite a bit cheaper.

Everything is up in the air right now, He really doesnt have a set plan. They can Tune our ecu's, but they have to obide by all Emmision regulations. It will be based off there ford tuner tool, just for MS3. As soon as i find out more, i will let you guys know. i repeat again. they are just testing to see if the market is even out there and if they can do this for a reasonable price.

now that i would buy. face it COBB is a nice piece but pricey. and the "out of the box" tune wont be worth too much. a good autorized AP tuner is hard to come by too. superchips products are cheaper and they have a much more widspread source of tuners..... sign me up !

Well they killed off SVT and they wont bring over the ST so i guess this has to be it.

ha! just because your s*** says FOMOCO on it doesn't make it a ford car. the Speed3 is VERY different from anything ford sells. you know the ST had the same engine as a regular 2.3 mazda? Most Ford parts say Motorcraft on them BTW. We've had the ECU sent out to a few people and they all say it is nothing like the Focus ECU.

Acording to ken at Superchips, they can program it.. and there video said it was a ford ecu.. so we will see, time will tell
