agreed. in addition, i noticed immediate improvement in drivability between the stock and forge bpv

I just ordered mine, can't wait to install it. I think my stock bpv was starting to go bad, I can hear it venting while driving normally.

Forge says to use the blue spring, no shims.

It is louder than stock. The loud part is the ping sound heard while in operation. Do some searching around and you'll find some videos people took of them running the valve.

Its louder than stock but still relatively quiet compared to other valves.

I started with just the blue spring, it would blow off under barely any boost, so I tried the red spring and noticed some surge/flutter when under boost and slowly letting off of the throttle. I've settled on blue spring 1 shim.

I noticed some flutter/surge under boost with the red spring, this might be better for people with a MBC.

Not quite sure I understand how that's a good thing....isn't that air going back against the turbo?

No, flutter and surge are different things.

Edit: Red is a little strong for stock boost levels.
