I know its a bit on the old school side but i have been tossing this idea around lately. Keepin mind this is just a quick ps job so the color isnt perfect nor are the lines but you get the idea...what do you all think?

i think it would look good if it were a front/back type of 2 tone, with a 45degree angle line towards the bottom front

Interesting. I think you may have solved my color choice problem.
Then again.
I immediately thought of copper top... like the batteries.

It's not for me, but maybe if the tone change line was lower... like the height where the door moldings are???

In the end... if you like it, go for it. To each his/her own.... If everyone liked plain old Black Mica, the world would be a pretty boring place.
In the cheese-ball words of that fantastic four guy.... Flame on!

;)

not to sure about the location of the line or the colors chosen. but its your car so do what you want dont let others make your decisions.

Eh, no. That color combination might work with a more involved design, not just top/bottom colors. (and you need some rims first before paint job! Or at least paint the stock rims black or something)

swithch red on bottom and black for roof and hood etc

i agree, i would even say, fallow the window line and have the black on top. i would would have to say no to the way you have it, but as was said earlier, if you like it, it's your car. do what you want to it. i would like to think at least soe of the people here can respect your choice.

here's my idea, keep in mind it's rough.
