probably not. I didnt understand them until i started reading fiction novels based on feudal japan, but they are pretty cool once you get the idea from them
I think I can see how they would work in Japanese since their words/characters are constructed out of consonant-syllable pairs, which seems like it gives more of a balance to each phrase. But English phrases are very irregular.
