Tranny Whine

Does anyone else have a noisey tranny? At lower speeds I seem to have a very low whine, it seems to change pitch a little when turning the wheel. Once again the noise is apararent early in the morning and under very low speeds.

Just wanted to know if it is just me?

yep, 1st is the worst for me.. changing to syn oil made it louder to, but shifts a little better.. royal purple, then tried the pennsoil snco max, the penn works better for me

lmaoooo....same thing happened to me when i put the MT-90...i had also changed my inner axle boot the same day becuase of a pin hole opening that was leakin grease from the boot. I ripped of the axle again, looked at everything and nothing was scarred or burned...****. Changed back to fluid bought from mazda the following weekend....noise is gone...car shifts good again. MT-90 blows for this car IMO.

i just always assumed that most manual cars made that noise in 1st. My civic made that noise so when i my MS3 made similar noise i just thought of it as normal

In the morning it's gonna be a little noisy. I get a woooow! wooow! wooow! wooow! (when turning - could be the lsd) initially then once it's warm after a few minutes, it goes away. This might seem strange but I kinda like it. I'm weary of cars that are too quiet :).

So I cant help but think that when I drive off in the mornings and hear this noise it cannot be normal! Has anyone taken it to the dealership t have it looked at?

yup that is exactly what mine did after the MT-90. I took it out and the noise went away. I hated that fukin noise...and it would only happen when cold.
