you would have better luck doing a search my friend instead of waiting for someone to spoonfeed you the answer

google is your friend

camshaft position sensor/crankshaft position sensor.

it also says something there about ignition misfires.

OBII is universal, so its all the same. check the ignition system on your friends car... coils, wires, plugs.

thank you for your help i will try that,we rebuilt the whole motor and just got it running for like 2 weeks and now it died but ill try that thanks again

Whats the best way to test the wires, coils and plugs? From what i can see the plugs look fine. The car wont start at all so im guessing its something with the wires or coils.

Ok ive checked the plugs and wires and they have a good spark so what else should be checked? Would the cam pos/crank pos sensors going out really keep the car from not starting?

Ok we are still having problems with the car, so far we have tried.

Crank pos sensor
cam shaft pos sensor
fuel pump
plug wires
and spark plugs

Anything other suggestions on what it could be?

The crank sensor can stop the car from starting. Make sure its getting power and sending a signal.

The more likely culprit however is that you've snapped a timing belt or its jumped a few teeth.

Yeah, having bent teeth will totally ruin the timing. (the wheel with teeth below the timing belt, the sensor is to the right of it, make sure its lined up correctly and that none of the teeth are bent. If they are, bend them back.)
I blew my timing spring in mine, and woah man, did it sound bad, so check that too.
If your timing is off, even a little, you WILL notice a HUGE performance hit, to the point where it will not start.

Well we did the timing and it will start now but the Idle is all wacked out till around 3rpms so now we are trying to figure that out. Also i have a optima battery that has only been in my car when it was running for three weeks and i am ending up having to jump start it every time we start it up, As soon as i turn it off then try to start it again theres no power. What could that be? Bad battery?

did you reset the ecu? I'd try that.

local auto store like autozone or advanced can check your battery and alternator to help with the jumpstarting issue.

Yeah, if your battery or alternator is bad, then obviously you will have starting issues.
I do not believe the care will run with a bad alternator.

I had the alt tested and it came up good, i will have the batt checked but i cant see it being bad since it was only on the car for three weeks. Is there any kind of fuse that has to do with anything for power to the batt?

ok the car starts now but the idle is all screwy. when i tap on the gas it dies. could that be a bad egr valve or something else?

Try giving it a seafoam bath.

The car was only running for three weeks after putting in the new motor and head and it was pretty well clean when it was done so i dont think the seafoam will do anything. The car will start and idle fine at first but then the rpm's drop but if i give it gas it will idle fine after 3rpm and half the time when i do give it gas the rpms drop then go back up when i let off the gas. I just put on a brand new egr valve also. Oh and there is no cel any more.

You kind of have the extreme version of what my was doing a few weeks ago. I noticed you stated that you tested the plugs and wires. Not sure how you would test coils but they may be bad, my coil packs were starting to go bad and the car would just struggle to run. I have also heard that the cam sensor can pick up interference from the coil pack. Thats what I can think of hope you find out whats going on.
