What have you done to your P5 today?

^+1

although I will admit when I first read the post I was looking at the taillights thinking "wtf they look exactly the same...oh wait a second...he said 'taglights'"

WERD!!! and it's a half day for me!!!

And, I'm waiting on busted foglights to show up at my door to start working on my projector retrofit, as well as my new speakers and msp amp!

Difficulty level of swapping the auto-tronic to 5 speed...?
That's a MUST do next year when i bring the Panda out of it's 2-year slumber.

step 1: go to dealership.
step 2: trade for manual car.

Seriously though, there's a thread around here somewhere on exactly that swap. go find it

Got back my painted side markers, top of grill, and eyelids. Got the first two on, need to find some double sided 3M tape for the eyelids

Added yet more oil. I had a pretty nice "POOF" of blue smoke upon startup this morning but the smoke clould quickly went away - vavle seals anyone? Also noticed that one of my brackets for my Progress 22 mm swaybar sheared off. It looks like the bottom bolt worked its way out and then the extra allowed movement destroyed the bracket. Anyhow, went to the Home Depot, bought some 1/8" thick aluminum, cut it down to size, drilled some new holes and presto, new bracket. I also went out and got some better hardward and put everything back together. Took some of the preload out of the endlinks to see if that won't avoid the problem next time.

Are you using poly bushings? If so, does the bar swing relatively freely without endlinks attached?

I'm using the bushings that came with the bar - couldn't tell you what material they are made out of. The bar can move but it is stiff - the brackets sent with the bar were poorly designed by Progress. The brackets aren't large enough and clamp down pretty tightly on the bushings - there's a lot of stress going on down there. I tried to reduce some of that by taking the endlinks back a little.

I got the cargo cover and trunk liner from whitemp5seattle! Installed them as soon as I got home! Thanks Jeff!
