What have you done to your MSP today?

lol i got the S pipe woot!! how much will a S and J pipe improve my exhaust if i have a 2.5 down pipe with no cats already?

would you like me to take pictures side by side of the inlets and outlets on both side by side? the corksport is a night and day difference i didnt think it would be that much difference till i saw it my self

If you dont mind

yeah i would like to see the corksport 2.4 by the stock, i wonder how much faster the spool is and how big of a difference it makes?

Terbow, thanks for keeping me from being pissed at the wrong person about my brake pads, it wasnt ken's fault it was the goddamn postal service, they accidentally forgot to send my package on so my pads sat in chicago for 3 DAYS!

no prob.

i ordered axr brackets from evolv, and they took 1.5 months to get to me. however, 1 month of that time was them sitting at my local post office and i didnt even get a call or notice that they were there.

replacing the J makes the biggest difference. the s is problly less than 5whp by itself. the j is the big bottleneck as far as the S and j goes stock.

I agree with terbow. I had the CS s-pipe and couldn't feel a difference cept "maybe" boost held a little longer towards redline. They say you can't feel anything less than 7hp in the butt dyno. Now removing your cats or a straighter DP than the stock shaped s-pipe and you'll see a huge gain. The CS might be a larger ID but the shape of it is the restricting part. Plus mine sheared in half really quickly and the install time just wasn't worth it. I sold the replacement and bought an electric cutout and couldn't be happier.

So its really no use in getting a bigger s pipe compared to the stocker?

i believe on the stock turbo its really no use.

if your goals are high (i.e. built engine, larger turbo, etc) then yes you should probably swap it out just to get rid of all of the restrictions.

relieving any kind of restriction in the exhaust is a good thing for a turbo. regardless of the type of turbo, its always better. whether its little difference or big difference.

basically in other words: If you want the most out of your turbo, give it what it needs.

Well I did get something done to the mazda today. Rotated and balanced the tires and put some new spark plugs in. When looking over my car I noticed that the side motor mount was ripped, crap ! I guess it's time to start reading over some motor mount threads to find what would be the best after market replacement

the stock muffler on the MSP 03.5, is it s***? if not does anyon know of a goo exhaust system sold without the muffler that I could get and use the stock muffler but still get a good sound? I just like the way the stock looks
