Who wants dibs on the XEDE PnP System?

Report from Stephanie:

We are trying to make the Xede PNP for the MS3. I also need those connectors for another applications too. Since Mazda is not helping us, we are looking into having them custom made.
Thanks,
Stephanie

we should have something here by the weekend stay tuned...

unfortunately i dont see a PnP harness happening too soon for the MS3 if ever. if it does happen we'll be paying a premium for it seeing that only a small portion of speeds are made and a smaller portion are actual modders.

mmm, whats that saying....people in hell want ice water?

They need the connector for another application other than the speed 3, so it's not just for the speed 3.

whattttt????? Ken or zach. why haven't i been informed.... i'm mr. big turbo right now... i could use some decent tuning :D

the ECU is the same for the 3 and speed3 along with the 5 and probably some other cars that I don't know of and the problem with getting the connectors is that the ecu is a giant piece of molded plastic so it isn't just a connector you need the whole housing. but like I said give us roughly a week or less and you will be pleasantly surprised.

I have "cash" ready to go! And I'm drooling on my keyboard! (naughty)

Can't wait to hear what you guys have. I'm going nuts waiting for a nice tune!

thats like messing with my emotions. teasing isnt allowed when it comes to my modding and me putting money in PG's pocket.

i thought you did not want any of the current systems on the market?

we are making one this weekend. the parts are in our hands.

Wait a minute. Captain u said the parts are in your hands and u will be making a PnP harness for the Speed3 this weekend correct?

we will be able to make it for any thing on the market so Xede, Procede, and Standback.

as it stands right now it is still a prototype remember that and will more than likely be on a made to order basis as it stands but if demand is there we will of course make more. We will have the ecu harness and then wire in which ever unit you wanted or even leave that up to you to do if you already have the unit.

So we will be able to choose our own unit? Hey redrocketz in your opinion what unit do u think is the most flexible and make the most power...the Xede, the Procede, or the Standback?

a harness is a harness is a harness. a plug and play harness is basically a jumper that goes between the factory harness and factory ecu with the same plugs. whatever system you pick you would wire to the PnP harness rather than the factory harness. then when you want to remove the system, unplug the harness and reconnect the ECU to the factory wiring and voila, back to stock. its going to function the same regardless of system chosen. many of the systems even tap into the same wires for some of thier functions.

as for the "which system is the best system" question, thats a loaded question with no simple answer. every system has its fanboys and will readily tell you thier system of choice is superior with no drawbacks. we've had a great deal of success with XEDE on this and other cars. we have no real experience with ProCEDE so i'm not going to make a value judgement without having a system to play with.

harness is 3/4 of the way done and we will test it on a car once it is. i was out of town and there were some minor melodramas to address here so it did not get completed as planned.
