What have you done to your MSP today?

Replaced my bad o2.....and received my Forge Billet WGA :) stock one took a crap.

I paid off my MSP today! I only had like 3 payments left anyways.... yay... debt free again!
 
well not today but next week i will be installing a MAM Sleeper mani, having all piping in my engine bay black(including intercooler core), the mani will be ceramic coated black, and redoing my radio surround gauge pod and painting all interior peices spicy orange
 
Well what justifies the cost for me is the better engineered car.. The Evo is simply made better than the MSP, everywhere.. The trans doesnt take a s*** every couple months (like the MSP), the 4g63 can handle 500whp reliably on the stock block(unlike the MSP), and its a better platform (AWD > FWD).. What else is needed?

Also, Id have to disagree against the part about Evo's cost more to maintain.. Its ALOT cheaper to get a built EVO trans than it is to build your own MSP trans..


I agree with you, but in a way you are comparing a car in these case the EVO that brand new they cost almost 37-38k when the MSP cost 20k, I mean if with near 20k more value is not better. I really used to be in love with Evo's but honestly i love my MSP and i wouldn't change it for any EVO or STI. i have done so many stuff to it. i have upgraded almost every weak spots of these car and with a few more stuff I'm doing I'll have a very good and unique machine and no need to get anything else. What I don't really like is that There are Hundreds, Thousands of Mitsubishi's Evo's out here making some nasty numbers, fast ones, like AMS have, they are a lot of Evos and Sti's out there fast ass hell, but how Mazda Mazda Protgs you see out there Making Big Numbers ? almost none, that's why i want and I'm sure all of you guys that owns a mazdaspeed protg or a regular protg would love to have a car that almost no one has out there, at least me i love to be unique and have something different from others and not be part of the bunch of people that owns a car you see in every corner. Don't get me wrong, The Lancer Evo's are beautifull machines, well done and nice cars, but it will take more than that for me to change my MSP for an Evo.

Yeah I gotta say the Evo doesn't even fit in the same class with the MSP. The ralliart lancer is a closer comparison. Same goes for the WRX and STi, you can only compare the MSP to the WRX and they had plenty of weak spots too.
 
hey but you know somethin justin can say that we cant. he has 430whp and when he romps on it in 1st with the 2-step engaged he dosent break traction.....................

Do you ever plan on drag racing? I got into it last year and it was fairly tough launching my little 190 whp MSP even on drag radials.

Anyways. Today for my msp, I'm going to take some pictures. Expect a f/s thread soon. My friend backed out on buying it so looks like I'll have to do a little work to get it sold now.
 
yea im sorry to hear too, but if u want it bad enough, it will happen. and since he backed out on you hes not your friend anymore, give him a wedgie he wont soon forget.
 
.. Sanded most of the rust off my ONE rusted rotor.

I didn't realize it till I actually started working on it, but only ONE of my rotors wound up rusting over the winter with the steelies. Odd. I figured that if one rusted, the matching rotor would rust as badly. Shrug.
