Anyone know what wheels are on this car?

It's a pretty generic looking 5-spoke wheel, I'm sure you can find something else that's nearly identical.

wow, they're expensive! (eek2)

makes sense, though...why would cobb cut corners like that in a car they mean to impress with? :D

is it just me or do those wheel looks different? 18's back and 17s up front?

im not too sure. i do know that by using shorter wheels/tires you are increasing gear ratio, so maybe for increased acceleration? but even if that is the case why the different size in back? it may help the car turn in a bit quicker

bigger rims doesnt mean better handling....just....bigger rims. unless you mean the bigger tire turning in the back would offset the smaller front and push the car around a corner faster....but thats a weird concept. i guess its possible. ive known cars that have done that. like a 19 on the back and an 18 on the front. im not sure if its for that though.

not a wierd concept at all honestly. On my race bike i run a taller rear tire so that i can turn in faster.

weird was the wrong term...id say more along the lines of "better things to do with your money for handling than smack a bigger back tire on." Theres so many things you could do for handling on a car that would be way more beneficial and make the cars handing 10 fold better. It would be uncommon. thats what i was looking for. uncommon. you could make a car unbreakable in cornering and get more bang for your buck than a tire size offset.

very true and i am sure that cobb, having the resources that they do, have probably done all of that as well.

Wierd... my setup was exactly the opposite.
The front tire was taller with a more pointy cross-section to promote quicker turn in. Plus, I lowered the front 6mm to put more weight up there.
