I've searched this site, owners manual, Yahoo, Google etc. and can't find an answer. My key fobs no longer lock/unlock my car. Replaced the batteries in both. I need to reprogram them but can't find how. Any solutions?

Well how bout this one? I just got my 6 2 weeks ago. Didnt get a key fob with it. The alarm went off on me one night when I popped the trunk, locked the doors, then opened the trunk. I had to put my key in the door and unlock i tto shut it off. I was unaware I even had an alarm on the car until then. Is it a true alarm, or is it just something else. I suppose if a door was opened while it was locked it'd go off.

After that I took it to Carmax where I bought it, and they got me 1 new key fob for the car. They only supplied one, however I have 3 keys, and would like at least 1 more key fob. They wanted something stupid like $170 for another one, so any idea, on how I can get another one cheaper? Or am I just going to have to suck it up?

The car should have two key fobs, and a valet key. They do cost a bit for the smart keys, but you can check with some of the online dealers directly (they sell at discounts). I prefer Arlington Mazda personally, but there are plenty out there.

If you popped the trunk, set the alarm, then opened it I would expect the alarm to go off. The same goes if you use the key fob to lock the car and a passenger (someone in the car) opens the door from the inside. This is pretty normal behavior for standard alarms.

There is also a shock-sensor upgrade for the car which will alert you if the car is "impacted" by something. Should be a little box zip tied to one of the wiring harnesses next to the foot well. There is a dial to adjust sensativity.

Yeah, I understand if I set the alarm. All I did was lock the doors. At this point I was unaware I had an alarm, as I didnt get a key fob at all with it. I went back to the dealership and got one from them, as I pretty well demanded that the car was missing equipment for it to function properly. Now I just need another one. I'll have to check into a "discounted" key fob.

Alarm will auto arm when you lock the doors either with the fob or the key....Check Ebay as well they usually have the keyfobs for cheap...
