What have you done to your MSP today?

PG is offering head work with oversized valves being an option. You might be able to ask Ken where he gets his and if you might be able to buy them separately. From what I understand the PG headwork is completely separate from *************'s.

yup pg is using crossover parts. so does another vendor i believe.

i really want them cause i want to do headwork, but then again, i want a house this year lol

Ah yeah, my bad - just realized this. Well I guess I'll just have to wait and pay more when I finally get my built motor.

yea i think ill just wait and pay more and if not oh well. i like the car how it is now and i like being debt free better lol

So talking to Ryan today about different intake manifolds and exhaust manifolds and how EGR tubes probably won't work got me thinking... Is it possible to make a flexible EGR tube? For instance I would like to get both 505zoom's intake manifold and the new RPM motorsports exhaust manifold, both of which are calling for a unique EGR tube (so naturally they won't work will eachother). If there was some way to make a flexible line there wouldn't be a problem. Anyone try anything like this?

yea someone used some kinda flexible gasline from a hardware store. ive seen pics of it on here way back in the day. if u go to the water heater/ gas heater section u should see them u just have to get one with the right end. mcmaster will prolly have it.

here is a definite noob question but I am still getting familiar with my msp and modding cars in general so here it goes (I know many people prefer CAI over SRI, that is why I am looking at the WR Secret Weapon Intake):
does anyone here know about Weapon R Intake systems, I am pretty sure that i will be purchasing the WR Secret Weapon but i do not have the knowledge you guys do about what is good and what is bad, on mazdaspeedstore.com my choices are AEM, Weapon R, and K&N. All three are SRI and that is what I am looking to get, however the Weapon R is an SRI with dual tubes giving you the performanc of a CAI. Let me know of any downfalls with this brand. on JC Whitney.com where I found this item with user reviews it is all good but I would trust the opinion of mazda owners over Subi owners.
Here is info on the WR Secret Weapon: http://www.mimousa.com/weapon-r-secret-weapon.htm

honestly, i would not waste any money on an CAI or SRI. If anything, make it yourself for cheap. The only reason i got an injen was because it came with the Hiboost fmic kit. I recommend spending your money on a different power mod IMHO

The weapon r one sounds like a gimmick to me. With a SRI your still getting warm air, even with dual tubes its not going to be the same as sucking in colder air.

If your goin for a SRI anyhow, then id get the aem since it costs less and will give u the same gains.

however theres other mods u can get better power for the money on.
