Corksport FMIC installed with review and pics

have you dynoed it? and can you still use the HKS SSQ V2 BOV with this?

Do you need any of the pieces of the stock airbox? I sold mine cuz I put a CAI on my car which I'll obviously replace if I get this.

You won't need any of the stock airbox pieces.

Or 545$ for tmic & 175$ for cobb sri = 720$ save 125$ and no hassle cleaning your filter.

Don't forget the intake tube that comes with the Corksport. That would run around $200.

So the Corksport is a wash, but you get an FMIC out of it. Brilliant! I wish I had money, because this would be a great mod.

I've heard of some people running bad at idle and think it may be due to larger than stock MAF housing? anyone have any more info? Kinda a bummer if so

You are saying that the Corksport kit has a non-factory O.E, maf diameter calibration? This, I did not know.

The Cork guys seem to be on their game, I wonder if we can get more info on this, as you asked.

Yeah, a guy on the other forum was having problems with idle and I guess he measured the pipe that contains the MAF and found it to be about 2.8" stock is like 2 5/8" I'm pretty sure.

u are correct young grasshopper. i ran 2.8" ID / 3.0" ID MAF on my own custom FMIC and the car idled and surged like s***. Couldn't rev over 4K rpms.

i then had a company make me the correct 2.625" ID MAF housing and the car ran PERFECT with no issues.

EDIT: the corksport FMIC looks AMAZING !!! best looking FMIC on the market i would say! just hope they can iron out the MAF issues.

I don't even own a 3 and I think that is an absolutely wicked setup. My fave part is the "ram air" top mount filter.

I have not had a single issue with my kit. No rough idle and definitely no surging. I am running full recirc at this time, my boost is set at 18 psi with absolutely not cutting of any sort. I would recommend this kit to everyone. I believe Laloosh has his but I dont know if he has installed it yet. I would be interested in hearing his feedback also. I will be running my car this weekend so stay tuned for times.

No damage from running lean when the maf housing was to large.(attn)

What MAF issues? I've been nothing but pleased with my Corksport FMIC set-up.
The car runs smoother than stock and pulls hard. This is the way the car should have came from the factory.
