MSP Springs Conversion Help

I'm putting the stock racing beat springs on my 01 es. I'll be running the stock struts until i can get them replaced. Any Ideas on the diff in ride height or possible effect it will have on the stock struts/ride feel?

stock mazdaspeed springs are NOT racing beat springs - there is a HUGE difference between the two sets.

that being said, without actual mazdaspeed struts to go with them, the rear will sit too low. other than that, the stock struts will run fine with them since the rates aren't that much higher.

So am i to understand that the red springs off a 03.5 msp are nothing special? I was under the assumption that most of the mods (including the spring setup) was either racing beat or at least better than my stock setup. How low is too low on the rear springs? gimme some figures here

the rear will be about 0.5-0.75 inches lower than it would be with the mazdaspeed struts.

the springs are stiffer and lower than the regular protege, but are not made by racing beat. racing beat helped mazda design the suspension for the MP3 before it came out. but then mazda went to their own supplier for the parts. AND, the swaybars, springs, and struts came out to a slightly different spec than what racing beat had originally designed.

Once I get the parts to assemble my new struts/springs, I am going to swap them out for my MSP struts/springs that I have in there now. And then I plan on selling the MSP set up.

It was much better than the stock springs for me. As long as you plan on upgrading the struts at some point, its worth it. I had these on my stock suspension for two years, and except for the uneven gap I liked them. The car had a lot less bodyroll than with the stock springs but they still give you a comfortable ride.

So, basically these rear springs are too short or not? Your comment threw me off. Are these stock Mazdaspeed or Racing Beat because these people claim both & do the Racing Beats fit correctly on the ES?

The rear stock springs from a MP3 or MSP are shorter than the stock sedan springs, so they don't fit tight in the rear struts when the car is off the ground (didn't need a spring compressor to take them on or off.) Using them will wear your rear struts out faster than the front.

Ok sorry to chime in .. But i am lost. Lets use my car for example . I have a 2003 es . I get if you use the msp springs with stock struts then the rear will sit lower . now are the racing beat springs gonna do the same thing ? or will they be ok ..
and is it better to just buy a set of tein , eibach , falken , etc...
