ETS 3.25" TMIC Finally Installed!!!

power difference is very noticeable. Remember guys its winter time. if you would have put this on mid august, you would have noticed a huge difference. The ets tmic is a very very good mod. Im guessing this or an aftermarket fmic is one of the best mods you can do to make more power and prevent detonation!

Temp yesterday was 85 degrees...

But you are right... Differences in the winter, sub 50-60 degree temps are not really going to show huge gains.

The first night I installed it, the temps were in the low to mid 60s and the power difference was incredible!!!! (burnout)
In any temp (60 or 80), the car pulls a lot harder...

I aree the intake was a big improvement you can FEEL. I barely even noticed my dp. I just installed it and couldnt even hardly tell.

New update:

I'm getting a new plate for the TMIC from ETS throug Ken at PG...
(The plate that surrounds the intercooler core is the one thats contacting the firewall)

But, the install of the TMIC is AWESOME!!! It takes like 20 mins...

unless you drop one of the rubber bushings all the way to the plastic splash shields. Then you would have to jack up your car (because its too damn close to the pavement for me to crawl under) and undo the plastic to find the bushing and start all over again. then it would take you about an hour. Not that I would know tho......... (hand)

as for the power, i agree with driver, it really is one of the best bang for your buck mods, my test drive was on a concrete highway at ~35 degrees outside. I was pulling so hard that I could barely get traction in 1st and 2nd. I found very little turbo lag, in fact I think it spools up faster than before, especially 3rd-5th gears...

well i just got mine in the mail a couple of minutes ago and im gunna be installing it soon... hopefully its as a big hype as u guys say it is...

Just a question,
So what about your warranty? Do you guys swap the i/c out before taking it in or just don't worry about it?

depends on the maintenance i guess. My dealer seems to be fairly mod friendly so far, but if its for somethign serious I would probly swap them out to avoid frustration

danm i was about to install mine and it started to rain guess i have to do it another day... i feel left out :-(

I called to inquire and the service writer said that it would have to be returned back to stock for ANY warranty work.

That wierd, my ic alone gave me 3 additional psi

just a theory, since I don't have the mods I'm about the mention

most people who have a TBE and/or TMIC notice boost spikes, but it's not a 2+2=4 equation, it's more like 2+2=3 if that makes sense. Like how an intake alone gets 20 hp and RP alone gets 20 hp, but if you have both, you're looking more like 30 hp instead of the "perfect world" scenerio of having 40hp

I just pulled number out of my ass and obviously this is a simplified explanation but hopefully it works

yes sir. i hope people know that.... its not like:

stock car = 245whp
I/C = 20whp
DP = 20whp
Midpipe = 20whp
Intake = 20whp

lol, that'd be 325whp, I don't see that happening. closer to 290 or so.
