ETS 3.25" TMIC Finally Installed!!!

I finally installed my 3.25" TMIC this weekend!!! :)
Though I did not install the boost tubes just yet; still waiting on t-clamps...:(

Holy cramp!!!! This thing pulls harder!! And wheel spin is instant on 1st and 2nd gear now!!! (crazy)

I did notice that on 3rd and following gears that there is some minor lag; but pulls harder... (burnout)

What is odd though, is that I have contact issues, contacting the plastic trim on the firewall right over the turbo area under hard shifting into 2nd gear. I thought the contact issues were only for the larger 3.5" core...?

I also noticed that my factory BPV is rubbing on the hood ducting... (huh)

I will post pictures tomorrow night!!!

I definitely worthwhile mod!!! (2thumbs)

I just installed my ETS this weekend as well, I didnt notice any of the rubbing issues that youre talking about. It really is a vast improvement to the stock IC, looking at the two of them side by side is really crazy, the stock one is so much smaller! btw, how can you tell the bpv tubing is rubbign the ducting with the hood closed? are there wear marks already?

What size are you running?

the lag could be psychological (butt dyno), since even though the IC is larger, the differences should be negligible since the air path distance to travel from turbo to throttle body is essentially the same. Unless there is a small leak. I don't see the top mount affecting the way the turbo "hits" either, other than the fact that it hits harder since the air charge is going to be colder.

sounds good though. all these people getting nice gains and stuff and im stuck in stock land. :( boooo!

I see that you have the TRZ Poly motor mount. I would check just to be safe. I can't imagine having a problem with that.

any of you guys having ANY kind of issues running this core and a CBE with CAI? MS products if you have them??? i and to get a TMIC CBE and CAI for my MS3 but i want ZERO drivability issues cause im going/went through to much with the msp and mods messing up the idle and such

Yes, I have wear marks...but the contact issues with the stock BPV was with the stock TMIC... <huh> Thats why I am puzzled.

Did you notice a psi increase also?

No... :( I was hoping I would gain some more boost... :(

I gained boost with my downpipe, but I didn't gain anything with the TMIC. I did notice my boost climbed up to 17psi from 16psi on the first night of installing the TMIC, but that was only for a brief moment... (huh)

thats strange others say they gain boost i was wondering about this...

With all the mods I have, I have no drivability issues (knock on wood)...
I think its primarily do to the warmer climate of Florida. I think if I was exposed to colder temps (sub 30s), I might have issues...

I still want a CDFP though, I hear it helps stock vehicles too...so I could only imagine what it could do to mine...

man i wass expecting alot bigger results from this top mount. kinda let down :-( was it worth it autox?

I haven't noticed additional boost...not even spikes...
I'm still spiking at 20.5... According to the hype out there, I was expecting 21-22 psi. And hoping for 18 psi boost levels...

Then again, it could be all climate related...colder temps, higher boost, higher spikes... (shrug)
I'm happy with the performance gain!!!(drinks)

hmmm... i can't decide if I want a BEGi, txs, or ets....

probably ETS so I can blow money on coils.

It depends... I was racing yesterday (autocrossing) and while I was waiting in the staging lanes with my hood open trying to let some heat out, I wished I had a front mount intercooler to avoid heat soak.

But, the install of the TMIC is AWESOME!!! It takes like 20 mins...

I have to admit though that the TMIC performs very nicely as long as there is some airflow. I was coming back from getting my race tires balanced and as soon as I pulled into my garage I opened my hood and touched the TMIC, the outlet side was cool, while the turbo (inlet) side was hot... It definitely does what its supposed to...

If there is any doubt, I am very happy with this mod!!!!! (2thumbs)

power difference is very noticeable. Remember guys its winter time. if you would have put this on mid august, you would have noticed a huge difference. The ets tmic is a very very good mod. Im guessing this or an aftermarket fmic is one of the best mods you can do to make more power and prevent detonation!

yeah there is alot of HYPE out there..... but still looks like a worth while upgrade

Thats what I've noticed from getting all these parts... I get on the forum, talk about mods, get the mod, and its a slight let down because I was expecting so much...

Though, there are only 2 mods that were right on!!! That was the MS CAI and the TRZ motor mount.
