New Camera = New ms3 Photoshoot

haha thats a good one! That s*** is expensive, but looks realllly nice...

it's worth every penny!

If you can't afford a fast wide angle zoom, take a look at a 85mm or 100mm 1.8 or 2.0 prime lens. This gives a good focal length so you get a decent amount of separation from the focal point to the background for more background blur. With your kit lens, 55 mm @ f/5.6 doesn't blur out much of the background unless you're background is distant.

I'm with the votes to go for more tint -- headlights, tail lights, windows. I absolutely love cars that are completely blacked out.

If you're not so sure about it .. I'd start with the tails. If you like that, move onto the headlights. And if you like that too, do the windows. I would NOT go as dark as 5% though -- that's just asking for trouble from the cops. I'd stick with something like 20 - 30%, that'll give 'em a nice smoked tone without being too dramatic.

Looks great, tho'! :D

the pics look great man. i'd suggest trying one thing. idk if it'd work, but since black is so reflective i'd say try gettign a polarization filter for your lense to clean up alof of the reflections and give it a smoother look. otherwise the shots look great. cant wait to see more!

Jbird I'm gona have to say your car is SUPER-DUPER-ULTRA SEXY. But as far as what to tint. i like what driver 311 did with not tinting the headlights or tails but everything else. As far as window tint...it does look sexy clean without it but even a light tint would blend the windows into the car.

yeah everyone seems to go for the tint. my photoshop skills arent that good, someone wanna hook me up and put maybe like a 35% tint on? photoshop is a lot cheaper way to find out if i like it or not since the original quote i got for tint was $250

Schweet shots! (thumb) Man...everyone and their Mother is getting a digital SLR now and I can see why...I'm tempted but the priority for me is still portability...That said...I can't deny the quality and capability of digital SLR...I know it's only a matter of time :D

Can't wait to see updated pics with or without tint!

thanks man... i do love the new camera, but i still have a lot of reading to do before i can start making it live up to its potential. and you should totally pick up your camera while youre over in japan, im sure theyve gotta have much better options available over there

as for people suggesting to tint the windows, im not so sure. I really think it looks cleaner without the tinted windows, maybe tinting the headlights/taillights would be ok, but i think i wanna leave the windows alone for now

Not as much as this one (laugh)

BTW, what suspension are you running?

haha, yep, you win! thats one expensive lens...

and yeah, im running roadmagnet springs right now. I plan on upgrading the struts soon, something adjustable but not sure what yet

are the stock ones not holding up? or you just want adjustable?

i want the adjustability but I'd also like to increase the longevity of the strut. The stock strut isnt designed for such a high spring rate, so a stiffer aftermarket strut will probably last longer than that stockers.
