u should keep ur oem hood, its cheaper in cf and more reliable, ive heard the evo hood tends to crack around the vents but if ur getting it already.... congrats lol

I was thinking that, but I'm getting it real cheap off a member who blew their engine.... $somewhere around 150-200 and its in perfect condition more or less.. can't pass up the deal, I'm getting an MSP interior as well =)

I got it off a MOCC forum member who came and dropped it off to me in his new Lancer Evo.... you can guess why he doesn't need it anymore... lol... $50 FTW. He painted it himself with a can of rust-oleums painters touch black. Thanks for all the comments guys, really helps. =)

Thanks dude, I've seen your car and its F#cking sexi too..... I just needed to make sure I wasn't embarassing our p5's cause I sent those picture to a guy and he said it looked out of place and when i said cf + black hood to go with it he said ewwww, but I'm thinking diff. and that lip was worth $50 haha I liked it when I first put it on, goes with the roof rack too and the eyelids. The hood is painted MSP black mica to the left and right of the body lines on the Vis Racing Evo hood and carbon fiber in the middle.. I'm gonna take it off until i get the hood...

I would deffinatley get it painted you don't have anything flat black anywhere else on the car. I'm also not feelin the hood, the black sides won't really flow with your car either... just my opinion.

I'd say paint the lip silver & stay with oem hood. Is your car parked in garage or stay outside? That hood's gonna let a lot of weather in when parked outside. Not really feeling the hood unless in AZ or S. Cal for weather reasons. If weather not issue then go full carbon trim - mirrors, rr valance, rr wing, grill, eyelids, sideskirts, etc. Then the unpainted lip will look like it belongs there unpainted. Again, my opinion your car. It'll still be cool however you do it.

You can't go crazy just spraying everything 22v.... it's good to slow things down by using other colors....red Calipers, black lip etc. (enguard)

thanks dude, the wheels and the car are pretty dirty in those pictures, it was finally warm enough today so that i could wash it but it got dark out... I think I'm leaving the black but lets see if i can get that hood, if i don't like how it looks, it might get painted......
