I'd think there would be a limiter to prevent you from doing that.

BTW no rev limeter will stop a mechanical over rev.
i did the same thing, i wouldnt worry at all as long as the car still runs and idles fine, you either break it or you dont.

the car runs fine and idle feels the same, just a wierd noise that i hear now thats very minor but im sure im being paranoid. our engines click like a b**** to begin with.
