How many mods to fuel cut?

Yeah, Im planning on keeping the stock boost levels. You think that will prevent me from getting fuel cut with full bolt-ons?

No you'll still get fuel cut. The car runs very rich in the beginning of your power band and very lean towards the end causing issues. If you do; CAI, BOV, Exhaust, and Race Pipe you should be okay. It's just when you add the bigger downpipe causing a lot of the issues.

I just installed my DP this weekend...no issues for me. (huh)

Dude, how many of can have this avatar? I'm using it on the other forum and haven't gotten around to adding it here. I didn't think many people would a picture of a funky old Russian truck turbo, but you're number 3 at least.

The spark plugs could be fouled. I think I read somewhere, some ms6 owner had cracked plugs, but I can't remember where I read that.
 
i have cai, mbc 17- 18 or whatever it wants to be at the time and a BPV and i havent had any issues yet im looking for a test pipe also so i hope i dont run into any problems anytime some

I don't know how relevant this would be, but before I even took delivery of my car, they had changed out the spark plugs. They told me this was common with the Speeds to have something fouled on their plugs from the factory. Take it for what it's worth.
 
I have the same occasional cold weather issues as well. Nothing like going to pass and the car goes totally flat or bucks like a damn mule.

as far as i can tell any slightly modded ms3 in cold weather will fuel cut here and there. i even put my stock intake back on and turned the boost down to stock and it would still fuel cut sometime. these cars are lean mean fuel cutting machines from the get go. im sure its a simple solution with proper tuning but nothing is available yet.
 
Hmm. Thanks for all the info guys. Seems that our cars are somewhat "touchy" at times. I guess before I install the DP Im gonna wait to see if I can afford the fuel pump upgrade, or hold off on mods period till the weather warms up. So I hear an AP would help with this issue as well, can anyone please reflect on this. Ive never messed with Air-fuel ratios on a vehicle before, so this whole fuel cut thing is rather new to me.
