MS3 K04 Map found

they fouled out with just more boost then it was more noticeable once adding meth and timing (Detonation started to occur) so we just baked off and got what we could without the meth for the time being.

HKS makes an ignition module for the car we want to try out.

sorry it started missing, as soon as we started playing with the meth the damn thing started missing hard on the dyno. The fact that the plugs were ****** doesn't help the situation. I just have a feeling I'm gonna be building an engine for this thing sooner rather than later.

All I know is that we couldn't get anymore from the car without causing major damage but we are putting a manifold on the car and probably the pump at the same time so we'll see just how far before it goes kaboom! Besides Chris's car this is the fastest consistent Speed6 out there and atm probably the highest HP 2.3 DISI out there. once the motor pops though it's all or nothing.

Ya, thats an understatement. You gotta pay to play.

Ok, so say we stick to 18psi, meth and 2-4 degrees more timing... shouldnt be an issue... Im not sure what the total advance timing is on these things stock, but on my lightning with meth or race fuel, im hitting 26 total degrees of timing on my race tune.

my timing peaks at a whopping 12-13 degrees, its a joke. As for the ms6 missing on the dyno, its the fuel pump not the meth. Trust me on that. Datalog the fuel pressure and watch it plummet into the 600s

ms6 it's jcgemt2003's car (Jason) it has a GT3071, custom TBE, Custom turbo inlet intake w/hacked up CP-E intake. Top mount, motor mount, stage 3 clutch, XEDE, disconnected Meth kit atm.

Forged pistons and rods?

sounds like spark blow out to me. plugs usually "foul" from a car running to rich for long periods. too much boost and/or the meth could very easily blow out the spark causing a missfire. my car runs like a champ at 19psi.....until about 5k !! then i have my wonderful cut that keeps comming back.

Our turbo is called a K04 like on the vw's and audi's ,, i hope not cause thats a small ass turbo and ours looks much bigger. if im confused please school me, thanks

same damn thing. The turbo is actually an upgrade on the old 1.8 motors since it was off the Bi-turbo S4 and the 1.8's had a K03.

it is my understanding that we have a larger trim of the k04 than our audi foe. here is a map that is from an audi k04. notice it is NOT the same as the map in this thread.

I have yet to look over the graphs and spreadsheets, but just to let others know, it's not only the size of the turbo that you look at, but also the wheels in the hot side and cold side of the turbo, the bearings and other components.

visibly our turbos look alot bigger than the wussy ko4 on the audi's . My dick wont even fit into the ko4 inlet. the ms3 turbo inlet is more like my penis size. thus i dont think they are the same thing. any ideas.

Thanks to AzMs3 over at the other forum for gathering this info. He got this map directly from the supplier of our turbo

According this the trubo is good for 21ish before it becomes over worked.
Thats GREAT news. LOL at all the haters saying "you blow that turbo in no time at 18psi"

Did you notice the document dates back from 2003? There is no evidence that says it's "our" turbo either. Has this source been confirmed?

The map came straight from BorgWarner, I gave them all of the numbers/markings on the stock turbo and from the email it sounds like this is the correct map for our turbo. If anything it seems to be alittle more concrete then the other maps floating around.
