New girl from SoCAl here

Where is Rosas? I visited some friends who lived down there once and I can't remember the places we went to. It was in OC and there was an island...Balboa Island maybe?? I shared a fishbowl drink (had an alligator in it too) with a stripper...good times, good times.

Texas! We're officially >50% Hispanic here (imagine all the ones that don't count in the census!). I'm juero but I love mexicans so I'm happy here :) In fact I don't think there are any around here in Austin.

Rosas isn't all that great, but taco tuesdays are a good cheap lunch.

I hate to be considered a hater, but I would remove the charger flags. It's a well documented fact that they create drag which lowers mpg and reduces power slightly.

Welcome to the Forums, and do not forget to check out the How-to section. Oh and you think you got the leg humpers going now? Just becareful of posting a pic of you and your car, it will probably clog the servers. (yes)

i love my flags, and i have no intention of racing with them at the current moment... thats my team!

Yep, to me the hardest part was finding all the bolts to the bumper cover and then removing. Yes, there is 'baking' involved but it really isn't as bad as it sounds. At first I was scared I was going to screw it up but I've done it twice now and it's cake. Just make sure you take your time, use quality products, and be careful. Oh yeah, don't forget about the brass screw! Here's the link: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114394

damn it... i cant bake... lol. well, that sounds ok. i could just send my headlights to u, and u could do them possibly...?? haha, jk. thanks so much

only little stuff for now, until i settle in my new job... not gonna be big on performance, due to the fact that its only a 5speed... :(

I am not sure what you meant by your response to me but have fun. I was just talking about Socal :) You surf? Play guitar?

Believe it or not you're not the first to suggest this. I'd do it although I cannot guaratee when it would be finished and I don't think you could drive around w/o headlights for too long. All I'd ask for would be enough money for shipping and paint :)

oh man, that would be awesome. well, when i think i'm ready, i could same-day ship it to you. lol, no, but really, could i get in contact with you when i'm ready to do them?

Yeah, I guess that could work. It really isn't all that hard. When I say 'bake' I mean put one light in the oven at 300 F for like ten minutes then remove then put the other in. This softens the urethance sealant around the lenses and allows them to be easily removed - just be careful because they will be HOT! After you finish painted you just put the headlights back into the oven again to soften the urethane (they harden quickly) and then remove them and replace the lens before it hardens again. That's about it. It's pretty easy overall, just some things to be careful with. Oh yeah, it makes your oven smell funny for a while but because you said you don't bake that shouldn't matter, LOL
