Warranty Info? Does it cover cosmetics?

Hey everyone... I was wondering if anyone knew anything bout the warranty on our cars. I was in a accident 4 days after getting my Silver speed3 and only had liability on my previous car cause I hadnt had time yet to transfer my insurance over to full coverage. Plus I really dont wanna turn it into the insurance company because I have a claim on my previous vehicle that was totaled. So prolly wouldnt look to good... 2 claims in 3 months. But I was wondering if there was anything stated in our warranty...either bumper to bumper or whatever that states that I would be able to get a new bumper under that. Reason I ask is that I have no real clue what the bumper to bumper warranty covers. Does it mean I destroy the bumper and I can get a new one? Or are they just defects from the manufacturer? Thanks in advance for all info you guys have.

No, it means it will be free from flaws or defects. Otherwise people would happilly destroy their cars as soon as they got a scratch or got dirty. It just means that they made a good product and if it isn't they will repair it, that is if it was a factory defect or flaw. It doesn't cover acts of nature/god like if a tree falls on it or something either.

Was the accident your fault? Since you did have insurance on your previous car, most insurance companies allow 15 days or so before you have to add a new car you bought. Even though the MS3 wasn't on your policy, they will still cover it within that time. Having liability might be the only problem. I would call and ask, if they can't work something out, you can tell them you don't want to claim it. Don't let another day go by before you call!

That seems really cheap to me, actually. I paid over $860 for my front bumper on my '98 Bravada when I messed it up a few years back.

Coincidentally, I just got my back bumper tagged. I'll let you know how much it's gonna cost the other driver.

I got rear ended and they had to replace it, it was 790 or so.

yeah, but we told them we were paying for it out of pocket.
some places were even higher, 880, 840, and stuff like that.

They had to replace the rear bumper, and the rear valence/bottom lip thing.

They sure did... This is the first car Ive purchased from a actual dealership. All the guy did was ask for my license and they got a copy of it. But nothing about insurance.. or if I had any.. let along full coverage. It was kind of a weird experience cause I pretty much had to beg the salesman to drive the car. I basically said that if I dont test drive the car then I wont be buying it and then he still hesitated. I do look pretty young though for my age though. So maybe that had something to do with it. After I test drove the car though... everything went great I thought.

look at prices from our authorized vendors, i had to look at pricing my car slipped on the ice and small dent in front bummper add to it was cold and it cracked.
Edit - front bumper 321.26 both dealers youll still have to get it painted

hell thats great news if the bumper is 321.26.. cause the quote I got from the body shop had on there that the bumper was like 403.21 or something close to that. I know Ill have to get it painted. Just trying to wait till it starts getting warmer out. Cause my luck is Ill get it fixed and then it will happen again. I like your quote in you sig.. its meaningful.
