My Show/AutoX P5 build

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated anything in a while. I just became a dad officially last saturday. So the new things going on are a new front mazdaspeed strut bar(with pics soon to come), and a new tenzo r steering wheel, which will be paired with an NRG quick realease hub

i am liking your wheel... i too want to get into autocross so make sure to keep updating!

subbin

Your wish is my command. First off to update on some new stuff on the ride. I ordered front and back AWR endlinks, and a Progress 22mm rear sway bar which will help quite a bit for autocross. I have also lately installed a better intake(Injen) to replace my costome made CAI, and I replaced my stock battery terminals with some gold plated ones to help my electrical system a bit. I still need to order a quick release hub and hub adaptor, so that will be next. I will be doing a full how to on the install since there is not any how to's on the topic besides L8R's how to on replacing a stock steering wheel with another stockish kind of stearing wheel. So this will give an insite on an aftermarket steering wheel. So without further ado here is the latest pics:

I have also wired up my volt meter gauge, and my A/F gauge. Both are AutoMeter carbon fiber series:

Yah you and me both. The flames were not my choice. They were on the car when I bought it and I always had plans to repaint it. Every body always hates on my car just because of the flames. Its like all they can focus on when they see my car is the lame flames, even though have I have done quite a bit to my car performance and appearence wise. Oh well, I am happy with my car and thats all that matters

and what class are you running in? with your mods you're probably going to be in some ridiculous class, like FSP or something.

This year I ran in STS but I suppose next year I might have to bump up a class or two. I will have to read up on it.

The center radio surround is snapped in. First off you have to go under your dash on the passenger and drivers side and disconnect the two cables that control your heater. Once you hav disconnected those push the bottom of the top air vents down and pull on the radio surround. Don't pull it out all the way for you still have to disconnect the wire going to your hazard light button on the top. That should do it for that. There is a more detailed explanation in the how-to section I believe, I will see if I can find it for ya. Ahh here it is, here is a link for a more detailed how-to with pics: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16660

For the pillars you they are just snapped in so just pull on them a bit and they should come loose. Good luck

You dont need to take the radio out to get the radio surround out. That is what I thought at first as well, but that is not the case.

Just got some 10:4 to 1 J-Spec pistons to start of my NA build!:

Now just have to save for JDM camshafts, adjustable cam gears, and a standalone

I will also be installing an OBX UDP later this week!:
