Air to Water MSP Inside

the earls ones i got are black but the summit ones i cheaped out on cause they were under the car but i guess they arent made to strict tolerances, i couldnt even get em to stop leaking with silicone.

Subbin.

I am curious though about your water tank. What is the purpose? I found a site that sells some WAIC kits, but they come with pretty large radiators and no water tanks. I guess they figure the radiator holds enough water so you wouldn't end up with hot water in the IC. This concept is new to me an I am curious about the benefits and to see what your final installation looks like.

updates tonight! im so sorry, the forum never sent me a mail saying there was updates so i never checked this. ill have some new pics and info tonight.

its there cause once u heatsoak the water it doesnt cool as well, so the more in reserve you have the slower it heatsoaks. plus i have the ability to add ice to get colder than ambient temps (this is where it becomes superior to air to air). that kit isnt bad but i have all top shelf stuff, im a firm believer in you get what u pay for. especially with the core.

WOW i love the setup, just saw a supra 1J from these two guys that do custom EVERYTHING in a building in their backyard...tubular manifolds, aluminum FMIC piping they are big on design and efficiency REALLY NICE stuff.

His personal car had a Liquid IC system with a FMIC looking heatsoker and a HUGE core. I wanted one the minute I put my hand on the core and felt how cold it was. How does this compare to meth injection though or is it too different to compare. Resemblance is the lowering of the charge temps correct?

How would one prevent this from happening? Could you put antifreeze into the system, or would that corrode everything from the inside out?

yea coolant works just fine, and prevents corrosion. unless you use distilled water every time, the elements in tap water will corrode things.

ill have some nice updates this spring.

got a new heat exchanger on the way. its 29Lx6Hx2.5" deep. shazaaaam.

new heat exchanger! the other one fell through, apparently customer service isnt what it used to be. I thought money in hand was important but apparently its not so important anymore.

so i got this used one for 50 bucks which is leaps and bounds better than my other one. a lil paint and a power wash and itll be good as new. the flash makes it look worse than it is.

SO I dont get it..YOu run a Air to water...In lieu of a FMIC..but then you put a Heat-X(FMWC) in its place.
