Hi all, 07 vs 08

Like to say hi to all from beautiful SW Utah.

Have a question on what is the difference between the 07 and 08 Mazdas.
Cosmetically they appear the same. Are there any differences.

no diffrence in the 07-08..But the 2008.5 come in 2 new colors.

I think there are some very minor changes. For instance the motor mount bolt is now fixed from the factory on the '08s (right?), the trip computer hack no longer works on the '08 Sport models... I also think some '08s don't work with the Mazda iPod adapter or something.
But for all intents and purposes they are the same.

The '08.5s are another story, what with the new fangled fabric and flashy new colors (but at least one less fancy color).

Some 07s were fixed from the factory as well. If they were made after a certain day in may07 they came fixed. Mine was made in may and the VIN code is out of the recall range so I am good.

What about the "smoking turbo" issue? Was that also taken care of on the '08s?

On the 07s sport models there is a hack so you can get your trip cpu to work since that is something that only comes in the GT.
