She hit the rf qrter panel by the turn signal on the fender and crushed my fender she disaligned my headlight and cracked my windsheild washer bottle so i leaked washer fluid all over the place i have yet to take pic and i know the thread is worthless without pics but i figured i would share my pain with all my fellow 3 lover...my zoom zoom is in pain and it sucks to see her that way...i couldnt believe that she hit me that hard to do the damage she did and she made one hell of a sound sure woke me up...i just cant believe this s*** has a happend 1 week from christmas as if i havent spent enough money already...i will have to take pics of the damage and upload them soon...hopefully within a day or so i will keep you posted and i have to go get and estimate now and see how much the repair will be...Oh yea and she also spider webed my bumper does anybody have any bumber sugestions for an 04 mz3 5 dr....non turbo!....well thanks for reading me rant now i know how each and everyone of you feel to see your precious 3 get hurt it BLOWS ! ....could have been worse though(rant).....Brian

i just tapped one last night in my dad's sti. he looked like he was gonna hop the fence but cut back in the road. there was no way to swerve around him bc his buddies were in the other lane. i had slammed on the brakes and slowed to about 5-10 mph but still knocked him over. no damage to the car but some hair left over.

that sucks dude i hit a deer 2 years back in my 2000 mustang at 40mph, cracked the bumper, headlight, headlight housing, and broke a foglight.
and we almost hit a deer 2 nights ago in our new 3, and today my GF parked it in her moms appartment complex and it got attacked by berries they were ALL over the car we had to wash it (even though it was raining)

I wish my dad drove an sti...but yeah sorry to hear about the damage man, I've had to avoid several dead deer on the highway. One of them was cut in half...most likely a semi. But anyways my MS6 got a nice paint job of deer blood, pretty nasty!

Always remember: Where there's one deer, there are always more. Don't think that just because you missed the first one, another one won't find it's way through your windshield into your lap.

sucks man, my friend crushed a deer in his jeep on rt 72 a few weeks ago, he was doing about 60 when he hit him tho, so all things considered, you got fairly lucky it wasnt worse....

yeah i have had my fair share of close ones with deer and even worse moose as others said where there is one there is usually more and just when you think they are off the road into the woods i have seen them turn completely around and run into my car... they have goddamn rocks for brains... youd think there would be a learning curve of what to do when you see headlights but nope 80 or so years of traffic haven't even made an impact...

get it... impact.... rofl!!

Bout a year ago, I hit a deer in my BMW while going about 85. One minute I'm just chugging along, next minute I'm sideways at 80, my friend is screaming and damned near about to rip the "oh s***" handle, and I can see visibly the hood is all sorts of messed up.

What was going on in my head was, "ok, stay calm, turn out of the spin, give it a bit of gas, and let all the traction nannies handle the ass end going side ways at 80".

What came out of my mouth was, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

ive totaled my dodge dakote hitting a deer at 70 mph came out of nowhere and i slammed brakes. my last car took a hit in the left side rear corner pannel you could only notice if you stood right next to it and the light was just right. mine sounded like someone threw a football at the car i didnt know it was a deer untill friends told me.

I hit a deer on the interstate in Wyoming in my Talon. Folded the hood in half, folded back both popup headlights, broke my radiator in half and shattered the airbox (where the MAF sensor is) so it would barely crank so I could drive it off the road. $4500 damage. She gave her life to ruin my brand new car.

I hit a deer in Florida about a year ago in my mom's focus. I was doing about 80 on I-10 when he came out of nowhere, no time to do anything but hit the breaks about the same time of impact. As for damage I escaped with a dented license plate.

is that all that was left of the car?? cuz theres no way you could hit a deer at 80 mph with that little damage unless you were driving a semi or something

I hit a buck on a local freeway while driving home from work in my '00 Nissan Xterra back in 2004. I was going almost 70mph on cruise control and never had a chance to hit the brakes until after impact. Airbags deployed and the hood came up so I couldn't see a damn thing. Thank God it was an early Saturday morning, so there wasn't anyone behind me. I was barely able to limp the truck to the emergency lane before it quit. It was still dark, so I had no idea where the deer ended up, but as single cars came by I could hear them hitting the pieces of antlers.

When the CHP guy came about an hour later (I had stopped right next to one of those call boxes), he brought out his spotlight and we saw the deer had landed about 40 feet away in the center divide - dead, of course.

The body/repair shop that did the estimates for my insurance took pictures and I threw some of them together on a simply webpage here:

http://u1.netgate.net/~kirby34/accident.htm

They ended up writing it off because the estimate was more than the truck's value. What put it over the top was the $3000+ just to replace the airbags. Oh, and if you have never been in a vehicle when the airbags have deployed, be thankful. It took almost 3 days for me to rid my nose of the stink from the explosive charge that deploys the bag. The ironic part is that, in my case, it wasn't really needed as I didn't even make contact with the bag.

I have no idea if i killed it or not i saw her and almost looked into her eyes and i told myslef the is going to hurt me more than it is you cuz i know your about to f-up my car...The damage isnt really extensive it just hurts to see my 3 with a big ass dent in the rf qrtr panel..i just kept driving i didnt even look back i was so pissed, then i got to think well s*** i could have least taken her home and got the good meat that was left from her but she kept on runnin she hit my i heard boom and that was that i just kept on movin got home and didnt even look at the car till i got my flashlight i didnt want to see what she had done but o well life goes on...once i get my first batch of deer meet this season i will feel much much better..............

Yes it would have been good to take it home and eat. Probly would have messed your inteior up though if you did keep it.

That sucks. I would have stopped and made sure it was dead. (blowup) I live in NC and its INFESTED with deer. I see those blue eyes shine at night, in my mind i say " stay where you are , stay where you are"

on my dakota it cost 4000 to replace the airbags and about 2500 in parts and labor for rest and truck was worth 7000 i was able to talk them up to 8000 but it was too close so they totaled truck. when my airbag went off i couldnt see anything through the smoke and it took a good week to get that smell out of my nose and sinus. i didnt even move in my seat thats how light of a hit i had.
