From LX to MSP- my build.

DH, who does your gears? I'm looking for a complete custom box, but I don't want to dog it. I still want helical cut, just stronger.

For those guys who are still checking in on me and my car...here's the deal.


I'm getting the trans rebuilt by Dana. we're doing a Billet 3 and 4 gear... those are the weakest links.

Dana is checking clearance with the stage 1 head, and my custom cams. then i'll install the head and he's going to come down to help time the car and what not(he's teaching me how to time also).

The motor is being pulled and everything is getting done at once. The AWR motor mounts are being replaced w/ Street Unit billet mounts.

I'm going to do a wire tuck and battery relocate.

I'm finishing off buying my suspension and am powder coating all GT spec parts and what not. the interior will be complete too.

We're gonna pick up the AWR short Radiator, and some slim fans for it as well.


well that's about it for now. hopefully you all get a chance to stop in if you're in the area. pictures will start coming up here within the next couple of weeks, to month.
 
Dana is working or about to start on my long block w/ stage 1 head. Are these straight cut or helical cut gears he's getting made? I was asking him about options and the last he said was that he was running GTX 3rd cryo'ed and micropolished and GTX 4th. Also does he plan on using oem synchros too? Any idea on pricing for the gearsets? I am going to be swapping whatever 3rd & 4th options he recommends when I swap my new motor in. Just wondering if this is going to be an affordable option for me considering the time frame I have. Also are you using the Quaife diff or welded Speed diff?

umm.. i dunno if they are straight or heli..i guess heli like stock. but they are strong and about 550.00 a piece. i'm getting the 3rd and 4th..

well i just bought foglight delete covers..and 2 upper strut mounts..since my bolts have been stripped..

selling my AWR mounts and AWR TRAILING links soon..be on the lookout!
