wrx sti...trade worth it ?

I think what it really comes down to is that the speed3 is a hell of a lot cheaper than the STI so thats why many people got it instead of the STI. At first when I saw the new STI I thought it looked horrible. But I guess I was just going off the base WRX look. The car in the pic is amazing. All in all if we all had our choice where money wasnt a factor I think some, not all of us would be driving STI's & Evo's.

Former Subaru owner and current critic: STi will still sound and drive like a worn out JD lawn tractor, Best used for ice racing if the spectators are wearing ear muffs. You know I realized if you look at the new evo X in the right way it seems the took some styling que's from the R34 skyline a hair. Maybe I'm just gettin dillusional. I hope the STI fixed the tranny on the new model the old models required way to much shifting.

how many gears is the manual on the sti ?

the evo x only comes with a 6 speed DSG or a 5 speed manual

evo x GSR has a 5 speed and the 5 speeds on the evos are actually better built tougher. The new MR has the DSG and it hasnt really been tested to my knowledge, the VIII and IX on the MRs are not good for 400 hp and 400lb-ft I know a guy with a VIII MR and when he modded it it tore almost al the teeth off the sixth gear, hes a professonal tuner on the evos too so he knows what hes doing. The STI is 6 speed.

Honestly they both look great drive great and are a lot of fun. Good luck choosing if you get the chance.
