2009 Forester Pictures and news

its enough to uglify some cars, thats no good...

I don't think there's a lot of influence from Toyota at Subaru. Ford owns more of Mazda than Toyota does of Subaru, and we all know how that relationship works. Subaru has been searching for a "corporate face" for a couple of years now, and seems to have settled on one it likes. They tried that "airplane" thing with the Tribeca and then the Impreza, and they got crucified for it. This styling seems to be taking things a bit more mainstream, and will probably win over more buyers, while alienating the faithful.

I can't believe they're not officially releasing this until Christmas. The cat's out of the bag, Subaru! Just start releasing details.

An '09 Forester 2.5XT is at the top of my list for a new car, as long as it doesn't lose too much of what made the current model great to drive.

as long as you can still swap the impreza suspension bits (or if there's a healthy aftermarket for it, which i doubt), i'd rock it. and yes, i'd take mine in the 2.5 xt trim.

It's still going to be a big box on the Impreza chassis, so the swappability shouldn't change, really. I was always under the impression that things didn't really directly swap, because of the different weights and distributions.

I'm not a Subie expert, though, so I could be wrong.

i think you got a little bit of saggy butt with impreza parts, but there's a 08 sports with the vlimited lip and wheels (whatever package that is) with the wrx suspension and it looks pretty badass.

The Sports got the WRX suspension? I wondered if there was anything different, but never saw anything in my quick searches. Hmmm... If I don't like the '09, I might have to go that direction.
