Vauxhall VXR8 and S/C'd New Thread

ok - I know I voted against it in the other thread, but Im switching sides... this car is awesome...

esp. with the bolt on S/C... wonder if it covers factory warranty seeing as how GM is offering it.

MotorTrend had an article about how a wagon version and a ute version may come to the untited states, with the Wagon badged as a G8, obviously. The Ute would be a GMC they said.

But ya. Gotta love these. (hump)

A-ha! I have a Kiwi (New Zealander) co-worker who told me reading about this in a magazine while in the doctor's lobby, but I did not remember which magazine he said. Being a Kiwi it was a cool thing for him, although he prefers to drive American cars (sounds logic).

Would these be the ones?

The Motor Trend Wagon article:
http://www.motortrend.com/features/auto_news/2007/112_0712_holden_commodore_wagon
Powertrains will be identical to the G8 sedan. That means an entry-level version with the 261-horse, 3.6-liter V-6 and a five-speed auto, and a GT model with a 361-horse, 6.0-liter V-8 with a six-speed automatic. A six-speed manual also will reportedly be available

The Motor Trend UTE article:
http://www.motortrend.com/features/auto_news/2007/112_0712_holden_ute
But we hear rumors the ute could be brought in as a GMC. This would require designing a new front end and getting it through crash testing, but the thinking is the vehicle would further consolidate the gains in the lifestyle sector by GMC with the highly successful Acadia crossover over recent months. GMC has toyed with this market in the past, selling a rebadged version of the El Camino as the Caballero.

Don't embed codes work on here?

I first tried to post it like this

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="<A href="http://www.youtube.com/v/7QHPlPDnb_8&rel=1"></param><param">http://www.youtube.com/v/7QHPlPDnb_8&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7QHPlPDnb_8&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Strange. Last time I tried an embed code here, it worked. Oh well.

My wife has Bob Lutz's business card around here somewhere from when she worked the Detroit Auto Show. Time to put that baby to good use! I'm going to blow up his phone until I see this thing in a showroom.

The old plan was to prank him until he changed his number, but I might like this one better.

yeah it does have that look to it some. I love the first action shot cause it looks low other than that I think it needs a good drop and a new ass. I don't like the taillights AT ALL.

It does like similar to the EVO X. This is built for Vauxhall by Holden in Australia who happens to be build the Pontiac G8 and the now dead GTO.

I would rather have this over a EVO X because everyone and their brother will have one here in New England. I see EVOs everywhere and most of the drivers are pricks.
