Mazdaspeed3 Price OTD

got my Red Sport '07 MS3 for $25k OTD w/ autodim mirror w/ compass and homelink, tint all around wheel locks and cargo net. This was June '07 in Ft. Lauderdale.

btw...OTD pricings are pretty varied from state to state. price of car pre-tax/fees is a better measure, since different states charge different taxes and fees. if anything, an OTD price of $25k in one state can be less than $24k in another state. it's a very corruptible number!

simple example: in SC, sales tax caps at $300, but you get changed a yearly tax in addition to this on your car based on its value...this means that for a $23k car in SC, you would pay $300 in tax towards the OTD price whereas a state like NY would charge you $1,840 (8%) in tax.

w/ Tax, Tag, Title, etc. OTD was $23800

Chico you need to chill. I almost traded the ol' DX in not long ago for a 07 MS3 and could of had it for 21.5 out the door. Down in Orlando (where I just moved from) it's nearly impossible to get what a MSP is worth due to it's ridiculous over-saturation. Moreover, you are also talking about a dealership that has several '07s sitting on the lot, how many MS3's have you ever seen sitting in one place? The most I've ever seen was 2, this place has several.

Trust me, what Will got for his MSP was great considering his paint was fragged.

If you say so... It's just hard enough to believe a dealership is going to sell a car at cost, let alone at $4k LESS than cost!

As I said, whether you agree or not, the dealership clearly must have felt that they'd be able to make their money back (and then some) on the MSP. I realize the market may be saturated... but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. After all, the market's EVERYWHERE are saturated with Hondas... yet, those cars still sell close to sticker. The warmer climates are more conducive to these cars. (summer tires, wild paint jobs, etc.) So, even with your point, I STILL think it's easier to sell a MSP down in an area like that.

Before you disagree... think about the extreme opposite. How about I pull into the Anchorage Mazda dealership in my bright orange MSP with summer tires. Think they'll give me a decent amount of my trade? LOL I have a friend who lives up there... he drives year round in snow tires and says virtually every car is a 4x4. But I digress.

In the end, it doesn't really matter what either of us think. The dealership CLEARLY thinks they could get more... a lot more. (otherwise why would they take such a hit on the front end?) Don't give me this personal relationship crap either! lol My friend's uncle sold him a corvette recently for $1k less than invoice. haha and they're pretty tight too.

Anyway.... in the end, that's still a hell of a deal so congrats. Even if you pay sticker for an MS3, it's a good deal.

You'd be surprised in Orlando. MSP's fetch nothing down there. I've seen MSP's with mileage in the 50's in great shape going for 13-16 and won't move for months. Most of them end up getting pulled to out of state auctions for that very reason. However parked right next to it would be used RSX's sitting at 20-something and would sell all day. It's definitely easier to sell an MSP in Florida, just don't expect to get what you want for it. That is of course unless you're selling a S14, AE86, or ITR. Coincidentally, it's one of the best places to buy an SRT4.

i got my 07 in june for 24 otd msrp was 26.5 from what i gathered it was at the time when you were lucky to pay msrp. GT fully loaded with nav sirrius and a couple of goodies got a discount on CAI as well. pluto what month did you buy your car you indicated they had a couple of 08 out.

I got my MS3 this Halloween. (About a week ago)

What? Are you being serious? Because even mr. kooldino himself has been down to my old place in orlando and has come out with me "msp shopping"

I was being sarcastic. while there being an orange on the license plate is a selling point... it's probably not enough to sway someone on the fence. lmao

I got my speed 3 GT for 24298.00 including GAP OTD and I am in Orlando FL. PLuto that is a great price, can I ask what dealership you got your MS3 from because I thought I got a pretty goot deal myself due to my relationship with the mazda dealership?

Classic Mazda East. In reality you only paid 4,000 more than I did which is what I would have paid for an 08.

The more collateral you have to put down which in this case it would have been the trade in MSP and $3K cash, the better deal you will get. Common sense to me, especially if they know you and they know you're not a shitter. I strongly encourage any car enthusiast to build a good relationship with their local dealer especially if you plan on buying a car from that particular dealer. If it's a good dealership and not a stealership, they'll know that good news travels at the speed of light and referals are the best kind of business. I will also add one thing, financing for 72 months means that you'll probably end up paying a but more, but with all the stuff he put down it will more than likely ensure that he has very comfortable payments. Good shopping Pluto!

honestly, i don't know why it would be any less of a sale to them if you told them you were putting 0 down and financing the car through a 3rd party. if that's the case, all they have to do is just take the money from citi, chase, etc. when it comes in the mail...oO

I paid $25,030 OTD in Philly.

- MS CAI (installed)
- GT Package (no Nav)
- Window Etching cert.
- 6 Year / 75,000 mile warranty
- Total Care Package (which I used already with a nail in the tire and $0 deductible)

I think you got a better deal than me.

My brother works for that dealership. That's why I drove my car (Gti) up to DC, sold it to the chick in my avatar and then bought this car in Philly. I then drove it 1k miles back home the next day. To me, I got a car on the cheap (so to speak) and my brother got the sale.

I am all about "seexxyy tiiiiiyhm".

I think there are A LOT of miles left on her...
