Front suspension question MS3.

I'm just doing some research before I make a decision and wanted your guys' opinion(s).

So I was at the mall yesterday, and my friend was riding shotgun, and we go over a speedbump, and my friend like says "wtf was that". Something I thought was normal on my car since it's been doing it since i bought it.. but when i go over speedbumbs sometimes I guess my front shocks/suspension bottoms out?(I don't know much about the mechanics or what's causing it or if that's the right terminology..) But basically you hear a clicking sound.. like metal hitting metal, and the shocks don't depress any futher and then bounce back up.. It's not super violent, and I don't go over speedbumps fast, but 5mph usually makes it happen.

But anyway, my friend proceeded to tell my how that isn't normal and shouldn't happen (He drives an evo9).. which leads me to think there's a defect with my front suspension.. and he said I should take it to the dealer to get it looked at/replaced. BUT I don't want to just ride into the dealer without knowing one way or the other, because guaranteed they will bulls*** me if I don't know it's not supposed to do that or not.

Anyway, I'm sure this is confusing to read.. but if you get what I'm saying, and if yours doesn't "bottom out" on speedbumps, there might be an issue with mine.

I would say to check your sway bar end links. Jack your car up take off the front tire and yank the sway bar up and down violently. You will see/hear/feel the link go dunk-dunk when they are bad. There are also some cases of rear sbel's being loose on the speed 3 if that's what you have.

It's only from the front.

EDIT: Oh, and why would they be bad on a 3 month old car? And yes, it's a speed3.

Yeah man s*** happens. I think take it to the dealer if it starts bugging you. I never noticed a rattle in the trunk of my speed 3 until my mother pointed it out. Drove me nuts for 2 months until I fixed it finally.
