Trz dog bone torque specs?

I ordered mine at the end of September.... they were supposed to be there then. I would be ballistic if I was a vendor being held accountable to paid customers so long. Its absolutely unacceptable business practice. And in this case its the manufacturer who is to blame, IMO. Out of stocks need to be announced as such, and timetables need to be realistic..... and that can include the announcement of "no timetable as of now".

TRZ's MO seems to be that they'll produce jackshit nothing, but tell the vendors its shipping "this week". Every week....for weeks, months even maybe. Who the hell knows... PG sure doesnt.

TRZ is supposed to be working on some upgraded intercooler. Yeah right. They cant make a motormount, and keep it in production.... how the heck are they gonna produce a production intercooler. Especially because they get their cores from ETS.... who also is struggling to keep up. But at least everybody knows the situation with ETS. TRZ doesnt seem to have their act together.

Im still going to hold on though. I trust Ken will get to the bottom of this. But it does seem fishy when he is being told..... "they'll ship this week", and one month later hes still hearing the same old s***..... and we're still in the dark.

you sir could not be farther from the truth and the bashing of TRZ will not be tolerated. keep in mind i am also a sponsored car of PG, and i will tell you the problem. The demand is just too high. and time is hard to come by. TRZ is a full service custom shop. they do not supply only PG. when an order gets called in, it will get filled in the order it was recieved, and thats that. ohh and as for the IC it is in the works right now !! how do i know ?? the owner of TRZ is my best friend since high school...thats how. i helped pick the parts going into it. dont comment on s*** that you have no clue as to what is going on. if the mounts get ordered they will of coarse get shipped as quickly as possible. it takes about 2 weeks for Ken to get the mounts from the day he orders them. that is not bad if you ask me. especially considering TRZ has to send the mounts out to powder coat them, and ship hem to IL all the way from FL. i love PG and it remains the only place i shop for my car, you have to understand that things take time, in this case there is room for improvement in the process, and i'm sure it will get better.

Ken seems to wait until he runs completely out of mounts before he orers more...why i dont know. I do not wait to order until I run out, I have been running out before the orders even arrive. I've done a poor job anticipating demand and already admitted that. Mike will tell you I ordered another twenty today even and will continue to order progressively larger quantities. Nowhere did I say anything bad about TRZ in any respect.

There is no need for bickering from anyone. Everyone is getting thier parts, TRZ has told me more will be on my door step sooner rather than later as he has extra components already on hand to meet demand. We are all working very hard to bring parts to what is a very small community. If people can't calm down in this thread on either side I will have it closed, period.

Agreed no need for idiocracy!

Thanks Ken for the quick response on my order. As I mentioned above, I was quoted by the end of the month.... Look what today is! The "end" of the month! lol

I'm looking forward for the install, and the overall improvement over my stock mount. Thanks again!!

Back on topic, so 60/90 ftlbs of torque is needed for tightening?

Ken, pm sent, hopefully ive got one of these ready for me - its been a few months and still no goods yet (uhm)

i am not trying to make anyone look bad. TRZ and and PG have been very good to me. i know that the mounts are just selling too damn fast. i didnt mean for it to sound as it did. the problem lies in the process as a whole. and as Ken stated it was an issue with anticipating the demand. i worded my statement wrong and appologise. PG orders the mounts..... TRZ makes them according to their schedule.....then ships them for powder coating....then waits for them to come back.....then finishes them off with the bushings, and cleans up the threads....then ships them to PG...who at that point can start filling their demands for them. it is a tricky process to try and get the timing correct, and try to avoid waits. the part that ticked me off is when Mr. PALERIDER comes off talkin smack about TRZ. he knows nothing about the situation. i will defend them to death. i have worked with them for YEARS and never had the slightest bit of a complaint of their products or support.

I know nothing about the situation? I know I ordered the damn thing on the 29th of September... I know my CC was billed on the 1st of October. I know Protege Garage had on their website that they would be in stock as of 9/29... and the order that was promised me that week was the order expected on the 29th..

Certainly if the turn around time was two weeks Id have one by now. I hardly believe with the "demand being so high"... that Ken didnt order enough to satisfy orders from SEPTEMBER, that were ALREADY PAID FOR.

If in fact this is a demand issue.... then PG AND TRZ are both partially to blame. TRZ is behind and thats obvious. The fact that orders are not arriving on time is also obvious. The fact that they are saying orders are shipping and they are delayed or not shipping at all.... SEEMED obvious.

The bottom line is...

That fact that they cant keep up with demand is fine. Just as long as they dont lead vendors to believe that orders will be filled, so that customers are "lead to believe something"... from the most reputable vendor on the board.... THAT DOESNT FRIGGIN COME TRUE!!!! Especially when product is bought and paid for under the assumption of a different timetable.

Its bad business.

So Truboost.... Marketing 101.... the customer is always right, and ESPECIALLY if the customer has already paid a month ago. A straight answer instead of covering asses is what I intended with my post.... I dont care whose friend you are.

well i spoke to TRZ just 10 min. ago.... they said they supply them as they get ordered, and all have shipped on time. and they are not behind on ANYTHING . so i dont know what to say. i have been told that an entire shippment was sold before it even arrived at PG and another batch was comming to help get some in stock at PG. so yeah, it all comes down to supply and demand. i dont think it is fair to play the blame game here. the fact is the mounts are selling FAST. TRZ said they had to order more of the laser cut flanges for the mount. i know their original supply of these was 50 pieces and they had to order more for PG's most recent order. so they have sold over 50 in 2 months !! that is nutty ! you have to see it from both sides. from PG's view they dont want to order too many at once. that can lead to excessive inventory, and wasted $$ if they dont sell. but order too few and you have this delay issue. from TRZ side they also have to order the flanges and bushings to make these, so they are in a similar situation. they dont want too run ito a situation where they have too much or too little inventory. i'm very sorry you have had to wait as long as you have, it is a bad situation for every one. but you cant make the assumptions that you did about TRZ like that...it is uncalled for. Ken has stated he takes some blame for the delay. he now knows he should have ordered more, but hindsite is always 20/20 ! believe me the last thing i want to do is ruffle feathers on either side here, because theywe should infact be on the same side ! mounts are coming and so are many other good things from TRZ soon !

I might have erred in playing the "blame game" as you put it. I wont deny that. I dont want to put anybody in a bad light but the fact remains that people were questioning what was going on with this mount. Guys who had already paid. And answers werent always readily available from PG..... through what appeared no fault of their own. It seemed fishy... kind of like something bad was going on with the mounts or the company. It was my perception and I think its been shared by others.

Maybe I was wrong to air this publicly in this thread but over a month had passed and there still wasnt a mount available. And there wasnt any updates. We all deserved an answer.... even if it was that we needed to wait longer. The impression was that its been imminent.

I personally have booknoted the intercooler youve been talking about as I dont care for the ETS... nor the ship time, cost, or vagueness of the AutoExe. Im looking forward to it, and if its what youve described, I'll probably get one.....

If they'll still sell me one after my posts today.:)

Anyway...

I had a bad morning before I posted that first post, so maybe I could have toned it down abit and asked a little more respectfully. Sorry for offending you, and I'll resume my waiting. Unfortunately I wasnt one of the guys notified that my mount had shipped:(

hey, i admit to jumping the gun as well. i just didnt want the names of good companies being dragged in the dirt. i am most sorry to Ken at PG, i know i was out of line, and cant blame him if he chooses to drop me from his sponsorship.( although i might cry) i'm a big boy and i take full responsibility, and i am also man enough to appologize.

Sorry, kinda busy... didn't read very many of the posts above.
...
I just emailed about twenty people their UPS tracking numbers
...
Got my tracking number, I wouldn't have installed it yet anyway, but I think it would have been prudent to ship my other items immediately and ship the mount separately whenever stock was replenished.

He wont drop you. He better not.

Were all one big family here anyway.... and we all want the same stuff. In fact we all want it yesterday.:) I just received another order from PG today placed two days ago. Booyah... great service. Ive had no issues besides this mount.... and trust me, Ive worried the PG guys to death over my orders.

This situation appears to be a result of the damn thing being the best option around. If it had sucked, Id have it by now.:) Thats not a bad tradeoff I guess.

No, I'm not going to drop him. He and I have known eachother long enough where something as trivial as a post on the internet isn't going to hurt my feelings irreparably. After 5 years in this business I have grown a pretty thick skin.

Update...
I got confirmation last Thursday that my Poly MM had indeed shipped. Thank you PG and peace to Truboost.... I put it on yesterday, a couple hours after it arrived. I feel like Im shifting in a video game now. Vibration is minimal, I just notice more general cabin noise. Downshifting and WOT is now a snap, but much LOUDer. Im loving it.... I think:).

I do have a question though. Some guys have mentioned a "break-in period" on motormounts. Is this something that applies to this mount? Whats to breakin? I know I'll eventually adjust to the difference psychologically, but is there something that also occurs physically with the mount?

Also... my exhaust vibe is noticeably increased. Should I have any fear of what may occur to my exhaust? The Vibrant has an occasional rattle.... Should I be leary of having pipe that doesnt have any flex welded in? Other than the bolts on the mount, now with locktite.... what other connections should I keep my eyes on?

I know its basics here.... but this is the first time Ive done anything to a car like this. I just want to be prepared for what to expect.

glad you got it and like it ! the added vibes are normal and is will reduce a little over time. thats what is meant by "the mount breaks in" it will feel a little smoother in time. the extra noise from the exhaust is pretty normal too. now that the stock rubber mount isnt absorbing all the vibs......something has too ! as for your question about not having a flex joint..... thats all the more reason to have a good mount ! the mount will greatly reduce the amount of drivetrain slop the car had originaly. since it moves less the exhast will have less room to "flex" . PEACE !
