It's cool, the points now show as "reversed" on my CP. I am still waiting for that thread folks were talking about with the rules, etc. but I know things take time.

I'd like to know who it was from..But I have a feeling I know who.
I got two infractions myself for not Agreeing with a mod on a subject..He got bent out of shape and slapped me with an infraction...and my posts were not doing anything wrong..nor were the instigating..
The mod posted false technical info and I corrected him..He got mad that I was right and hit me with an infraction.

I wrote a letter(PM) to LinuxRacr about this and was told he was busy...He never got back to me on it....I am still very bitter about what transpired and that no attention was given to it....Especially since I immediately contacted a Super mod....not just a Mod..but a Super Mod.

I mean..What else can you do..I followed the proper procedures and still got nowhere.

Any issues that need to be escalated above something a regular mod can take care of should be addressed to multiple supermods/admins. We all have lives outside of these forums, and if you only inform one of us, that one may be currently on vacation or otherwise not available.

I only PM mods when I see the little green light under their avatar that show's they're online. That way if they don't answer, I know they're just ignoring me and I should take action with someone else.

The mod I got it from was cool about it in the end, and apologized for the misunderstanding. It really was a misunderstanding in this case. I didn't know it had been deleted on purpose, he didn't know I didn't know.

I started this thread to try to motivate some official action to prevent/avoid such misunderstandings in the future. ...for the benefit of all mankind...

Well...When you send it to a MOd...Wait..and no reply...then PM again...and a get an "I was Busy reply" and nothing else comes from it...I think thats a little ridiculous.

He cant say he didnt get it...because he responded saying he was busy..I'm glad he was busy...But It would have been nice to have my concerns addressed at some time in a reasonable manner. I spent Quite a bit of time sending him all of the pertinent Posts and PM's so he could see exactly what I was talking about.
And ifthe issue was addressed behind closed doors...It would have been nice to have been informed that it was done that way.
Either way...I did the right thing and it got me nowhere as usual.
But the second I step out of line I will be reprimanded by a Mod..They always have time to do that on the spot.
Yeah..I guess I can see how that makes a lot of sense.(scratch)

Positive sarcasm? Yes. Negative sarcasm? No. Cool, now WTF is the difference? Hypersensitivity is taking over the world! Seriously, this seriousness is getting serious. "Doctor, I'm here today because somebody was sarcastic to me on an internet forum." Hint to masses: No person's opinion will ever be universally accepted, please prepare for flack from others. Go ahead & keep living though. Really, it'll be OK.........Yes, a sticky would be very nice.
