I'm also trying to figure out how to go about painting both front and back Mazda emblems. I want them black, I just don't dig the chrome. Cant seem to think of a way to make them black though, being that they're chrome plated plastic. How have people done it in the past, and how effective was it, ie - does the paint chip off easily.

Thanks

And what store would that be? :) Red Deer is only 1.5 hrs away for me and CalgaryMS6.

P.S: Sweet ride, CalgaryMS6... I did the tint all around too. Makes the car look WAY better.

Damn I really need to get my windows tinted. And what shop is that in Red Deer? only 1.5hrs from me too!

Thats a stunning 6. Clean de-badge job, excellent tint. Blacked out emblem will only be the icing on the cake!

It is a shop called "lightspeed inovations" Used to be "masters automotive"

I emailed them wanting to see if they could tune for me if i got the cpe standback, so they looked into cpe and were impressed with the products so they now intend on selling them for close to list price and that includes shipping.

My friend had his civic turbo done there, they did an excellent job, and apear to stand by there work

Hey CalgaryMS6, how did you debadge the rear emblem? Did you have to fill the holes and repaint?

Ahhh, I must confess, I used Photoshop. Thats the way I wanted it to look before I took off the badge, only to find the two little holes. Dont want to do the fill/paint deal so I am looking to get the black badges instead. I put the original badge back on today until I can find the black ones.

But thanks for the compliments folks. I can honestly say I'm truely in love with this car. I'll post up new pics in a couple weeks when I get the AutoEXE springs on the car. Hopefully I'll have tracked down the new badges by then as well.

awww, booooooo... At least you're effective at Photoshop. Heh.

I wanted to debadge mine entirely. Lose the back one, and get the CF Grille for the front. But $500 to do all that... ($390 for grille, shipping, then filler, labour, paint and whatnot for rear)... ugh... not worth it.

(no)

not the same, the one is a brighter red and the other has a darker red metallic to it.

i talked to a dealer about it, when trying to pick a speed. he showed me both colors on the lot

Just chimeing in as another MS6 owner in calgary.. took delivery of it last weekend..

Still concidering tinting the windows.. Sunridge mazda offered to have the rear windows tinted before i took the car (they quoted me about $200) but said they would not tint the fronts .. I sometimes have the baby in the back so the tinit would definitely help keep her from getting blinded by the sun at times..

Impressed with the car so far, however it does feel sorta like a dog at times.. I figured it may have been because of the 91oct I've been using.. so I filled up with 94 from mohawk today.. so far no change.. maybe I've just gotten too used to the power now..

What are you calgary folks going to be doing for winter? putting it away or finding some suitable tires? ..

care to elaborate?

Maybe its just the break in period? Or getting caught off boost?

kinda difficult to explain.. driving around the first few days the car felt strong.. while I was careful to keep things under half throttle, you could definitely feel the rush of the turbo as it pulled past 2500rpm .. especially in 2nd and 3rd gear.. as I put more mileage on the car and started to give it a bit more throttle, things kinda left me feelins.. well kinda.. flat... tip into the throttle below 3000rpm and the car definitely pulls hard.. however accelerating from a roll on starting about 3500rpm and the car feels soft .. no matter what gear you may be in .. 4th gear and up is a slow rise to 5000rpm .... It's almost like torque peaks at 3500rpm and falls from there.. mind you, my "hobby" vehicle is an rx-7 with a gt35r putting down 400rwhp . so I may be expecting to much out of this car..
