Hey All,

I was looking at the Protege Garage MSP front brake kit upgrade for my MP3. I'm in need of rotors and pads, so I thought I would just upgrade while I'm doing it.

Some ?'s before I go ahead with the upgrade:

-MP3 Brake calipers vrs MSP calipers? Are they the same # piston's (ie 2 pot vrs 4 pot)
-Will the MP3 Brake Booster/Master Cylinder be sufficient for the MSP brakes?

I did many a searches and did not find the answers to these particular questions. . .

Thanks in advance!

David

MP3 and MSP front calipers have the same number of pistons, one (1) on each, and the pistons are the same diameter. so, you won't need to upgrade your master, since the fluid required will be the same.

so is the upgrade worth the extra $ in your opinion?

well, it was for me, since i needed new front calipers anyway - it was the quickest way i could get replacements. if you're doing it expecting to gain some braking performance, i would probably skip it. you can increase your braking performance just with a proper pad selection and some new "stock" replacement rotors.

Ah, thanks for the input.
