SRT-4 Owners

I am used to all that. I have an SVT Focus, and got a lot of crap from people (mostly Honda owners) until I started winning the import class by a pretty large margin. I always stayed pretty laid back and would talk to whomever walked up. Then I got the Cobra and people never talked crap at all (and they probably could, it was a convertible after all), but they knew me already.

There are just all types of people. Be the type of person that you'd want to meet, and things can never go wrong

Funny you say that, because I passed an Evo last weekend and as I looked as he drove on by, he gave me a nod. It felt good, because I've never really driven anything worthy of a nod from an Evo driver.

And, as far as I'm concerned, SRT-4 owners can suck my fat tailpipe, those are plastic POS, IMOSHO.

its got to be the driver beacuse with listed mods and trap speed it should be a mid 13 sec car and the list of mods should put him up to the 103 mph trap.

Can people read on this site? I ran a 14.0 STOCK. With the mods I have now, 13.5-13.6 should be no problem. That's wit all of $500 in mods.

Screw you. I don't hear us talking like that over on the SRTForums. The MS3 get's high praises, but you feel the need to bunch ALL SRT4 owners into one.

Hello. SRT 4 owner here. First let me say we are not all jack asses. Dont blame the car, please. I'm sure idiots drive all kinds of vehicles. I came here to give props to the mazdaspeed3. It is one kick ass little car. I absolutely love them. A buddy of mines wife has one and he brought it to our car meet. I was impressed with the quality and love the sexy look of the hatch model.

All brands and makes have their share of aholes.. some just more than others....BMW should change their marketing slogan and call themselves the "Ultimate AHole Machine"... Weird thing is you dont see a lot of SRT4s out here in LA - not sure why but they arent very popular.... EVOs and STI's are dime a dozen though... 350Z and Mustangs.... havent run into one ahole on a 350Z yet or a Mustang.... Evo's has their fair share... and dont even get me started on Landrovers

Best antidote for aholes on the road: Put a big Borla Stinger exhaust on a 6L 400HP/400 ft.lb V8 engine... Ive never had to actually race - the sound alone of a full throttle bleep scares the crap out of me and brings me back to my senses -

Side note: The MS3 exhaust note from stock is actually rather pleasing... its mean yet subtle... hadnt noticed how nice it sounds from outside

I will re affirm my stance that the 03 to 05 SRT 4 is the best sport compact budget box ever. Why else would we still be so interested in a car that has been gone for 3 model years? Because it set the standard. Don't get me wrong, I love my MS3, but I don't know that I would miss it if I lost it. I miss my SRT 4, everyday. To those who degrade it as just a Neon, the SRT 4 is much less a regular neon than the MS3 is a regular 3. They are not junk, I have had my MS3 to the dealer for problems on six occasions in just over 10k miles. I had a sensor go out on the SRT 4 once, it was my fault, and that was after 34,000 miles of flogging it religiously. It was just a better car. It has proven itself. The MS3 along with all of the other econo monsters would not have seen the light of day without the SRT 4 to blaze the path. As for assholes in this car and that car- take it to the track and work it out. The real assholes are the ones who race on the streets and endanger everyone else. I have been there, thank God I never hurt anyone who was just trying to get from point A to point B.

^^ more people need to be like this guy! both cars are great, cut the bs. jeeze. just the other day i ran into a ms3 owner acting a fool when he saw me. but that dosn't change my perception that the ms3 is still a good car. people are getting the cars confused with the drivers.

I know 2 people here with SRT4s, one works with me and is a cool guy. He is a little bit, er, overzealous about his car, and all Dogde products, but still cool.

He's also the first to admit that even though he spent enough on the car to run a 330hp dyno, the car will not handle, and any speed. When we cruise them, a corner I take at 100km/h, he's down at like 40-50.

Every car has it's ups and downs. Sure an srt can beat me in a 0-60, but how many do you see at an autocross event?

Any car can be humbled in the right scenario, we just have to accept that no car is a super car that can best everything else.

So why'd you get rid of it? I've only taken my ms3 to the dealer for the recall, that's it. 20k miles and no issues.
