What have you done to your P5 today?

Anyone one make sure it fit yet? or waiting on the wp? I know ill be waiting on both, no need to do it twice. I guess you guys getting the ps and the crank just gotta wait and do it all at once lol.

i'm getting my wakaba badge soon xD my mom's friend's son bought a bunch from japan to give his friends but ended up not getting rid of them all. hehe it totally beats buying it from ebay wit shipping that costs more than the badge itself xP plus at a store i saw it going for 25 bucks!! O.o

Congrats!! I love the laser blue. It's one of the best colors ever put on a car. I wish I could get one of the (very very few) Laser Miatas they made.
+1 to both of your statements. :D
Maybe clean her up a little today and then slug in tomorrow for a friend's bachelorette party in the evening.

Installed the Mazdaspeed RX-8 shift knob today. This knob is so sweet. Perfectly counter-weighted, the black matched the interior black. Awesome knob in general.

was it only in low rpms that you noticed it originally?

Yeah, I just wasn't paying attention to how low. I think it's ok. I drove it around a bunch more this afternoon and it never did it again.

The stock shifter in the Miata is one of the greatest ever sold in a car. After owning a Miata for 4 years, I find anything else very disappointing. A short-shifter (I have the B&M in our P5, and had the KartBoy in my LX) is a large step in the right direction. The Protege can shift nearly as nicely as the Miata did! I consider it the most important mod you can add to a Protege, and by far the best bang for the buck, as you'll use the shifter more than almost anything else you'd add.

thing is that in the miata, the shifter is in exactly where your hand needs it to be. No reaching, no shifting your body around. It's just there, right where your hand expects it to be.

you guys are right, its far passes even the RX-7 shifter.. That will be my next mod.. Anyone has a used one?

I've actually driven a Miata with a short shifter and it sucked! It was too short. The (fairly short) distance you'd usually shift from 1st to N, was now the distance from 1st to 2nd! It was really hard to stop in the middle, because there was essentially no middle!

It went from joystick to light switch! I don't want to shift my car with a light switch! :D

Got my 60k service done yesterday. Found out one of the tranny seals is leaking :( . At least I have warranty to cover it.

W00t, I got my Mazdaspeed Oil Cap in today - been meaning to get one for a while now. Ok, I'm done with the worthless engine appearance mods now :)

Took her to another autox last weekend and won my class again. Im leading in points for the year but unfortunately cause I'm not a SCCA member I don't actually qualify to win.

Either way it finally got me thinkin bout upgrading the suspension. I'm thinking tein h-techs and tokico illuminas. Opinions?
