Warranty if if bought from

New to forum, sorry if wrong area to post, but hope someone can assist. I helped my son buy a 2005 Mazda3 in the USA this week, the car had only 21K miles, so he took it in to a US Dealer and they say they cannot find or honor the warranty, as the car was purchased in Guam.
I had no idea, never told car from Guam.
Does anyone have any insight? Anyone know what a 2005 Mazda3 warrany from Guam covers and how I can make sure the car is covered in the future in the USA?? What rights might I have etc... How might I fix this?? Thanks

Warranty Coverage

Mazda prices in the US (NEW) are considerably lower than in Canada, with the $$$ almost at par, it is very tempting to do some cross border shopping - but Mazda Canada will not honour the warranty on any Mazda vehicles purchased in the USofA !
You need to contact the seller, with a lawyer on standby, to advise you of your rights in your particular situation !

Sorry if Im the only one that thinks going to a lawyer shouldnt be the first step. I would start by contacting Mazda customer care and asking them what the policy is with regards to warranty.

I would then ask Mazda to verify the information your dealership is giving you. For all I know the dealer screwed up the vin number on the car and punched the wrong digits in... dont assume what the dealership told you is correct - get a second dealer and/or Mazda to check

Thats why I think dealer screwed up the VIN... or some grunt got free shipping in a C-130!

I thought Guam was considered to be covered by MazdaUSA's warranties, as it's a commonwealth, like Puerto Rico.

I mean, they have a seat in the US House of Representatives, and use the US dollar for currency.

It's not free - it would be cheaper to sell it and buy another one in country.
