Max HP on stock internals

The tops people are seeing on these engines is around 315hp at the wheels or 360-400 crank hp. The fuel system is a major hold up right now in testing the outer limits of the capabilities of the engine. There have been faliures of rods and pistons though with catostraphic results so it is a tough call. With proper fuel and tuning I'm sure you can go well beyond the current hp numbers but only time will tell.

Is there anything in the testing stages as far as fuel system upgrades?

Some guys were pointing out a company that makes upgrades for the VW FSI motors, but for the DISI Mazda nada yet. I believe that they were porting and souping up a stock pump. Ours is on the side of the valve cover driven by the camshaft. I have machiene shop access but no way of accuratly flow testing this sort of stuff.

and I'm sure people have seen the post with my dyno making
355whp and 367wtq. and haven't had any engine issues yet.
Only issue is major oil leaking/burning through the turbine side seal.

So thats 315 on gas alone or 355 with meth inj right?

355 is with meth injection, correct.
the last non meth dyno was also pre exhaust, well just a dp. and that was around the 300 mark.

I have no idea where I'm going to be when I add the Test pipe and the CPE Standback. I would assume 300-310WHP all day. I'm not worried about the power to the engine since it's already forged, I'm worried about the clutch burning.

Don't know the answer to your question, but you have have some sexy mazdas on your lot. :)

Well keep me posted.

I am about to buy a MazdaSpeed3 myself and was just wanting to get some info. Right out the gate i am getting the test pipe, DP, and Exhaust installed along with the MS cold air intake. Just wanted to try to find out what i would end up with.

You will end up with boost cut! Add some engine management into that list as well. My car has that exact list and its drivability is suffering.

Wow so out of the gates i have a spend 1000.00 on a piggy module? This will stop the boost cut?

I imagine the motor can take alot of hp, but as stated before the DISI is goign to be a problem. I don;t believe there are upgraded DISI injectors.

atp map sensor dohicky and mbc $150
xced piggy back hard wire $1000 pnp one day
cpe standback hard wire $600
cobb accessport flash $700 not avail yet but soon
cpe v2 plug n play price? avail?

I've never experienced boost cut with my current mods and I can't imagine a catback would do much for me where the car sits now. From what I understand the stocker flows pretty well.

Lucky! I only get it on long full boost runs, basically when racing so I look like a tool that can't drive.

I got boost cut once, couldn't figure out what happened. Popped the hood to find the couple had come off my CAI and was letting in TOO much air.
Car ran like s***.

So when are they coming out with stand alone systems for direct injection??? :D lol

Its not the injectors, its the secondary, high pressure, MECHANICAL fuel pump located on the engine block. This is the bottleneck to true HP. The injectors are one of the least of our worries, IMO.

Methanol/water injection seems a suitable substitue as a fuel source though, provided the tank doesn't run out!

Does this pump have a flow limit? I can't imagine it not being to support the needed pressure, unless its dropping to far when the injectors are pushed to spray more.

LOL, does it basically feel like you're not making as much power as normal at full throttle?

If so, I may have felt it for the first time. I got on it in 4th gear on the highway today and it didn't pull as strongly as I expected. I let off the throttle and got back on it and there was full boost again.
