that bottom nipple your referring to is for a boost source only. it dosent matter if its capped off or not mine isnt. what that second nipple does is it helps the bov open faster instead of just vacume pulling it up it has boost also pushing it up with it thus helping it open faster. to do that you would have to tap into one of your charge pipes. pm me if you have any more questions about the type s

what setup are you running? any stalling?
I never bothered trying to hook it up to a boost source. Might be worth a try.
That's what I'm trying to find out. 2.0t03speed gave some good advise and mentioned that it doesn't matter. I had mine uncapped and it seemed for some reason I wasn't holding boost pressure as well. So I capped it and now it seems as though I'm running smoother and boost pressure is back to previous setting.
you would be one of the guys that could do that the easiest Dana, I'd have to put a tap into my cold pipe somewhere, maybe get a screw in tapped nipple, would work probably. Dammit, now i am curious as hell.
you might have a hole in your diaphragm thats a common problem with the type s but it is also a really easy fix. best way to find out if you have a hole is to take the cap off of the type s then stretch the rubber part of it out and inspect for any holes even the tiniest hole will make a difference. and if you do find out that there is indeed a hole i can tell you how to fix it as well. because it shouldent make a difference if its capped or not nothing should be comming out of it unless there is a hole in the rubber diaphragm.
