fiber images vented hood?

You could always get it painted.

We'll all need new paint after a few years of speeding around anyway..

center scoop looks better for now , but you never know until u see the finished product, our ducting is pretty slick and our hoods are pretty round so these types of scoops kinda clash aesthetically , for our rounded hoods I would like to see something more along the lines of the neon srt4.

Yea that deff looks better like that opposed to the offset scoop..i would go with the longer slimer scoop to its more centerd to the vehicle that way but that just my personal preff...

i honestly don't see a problem with it being off centered, i mean mazda made a turbo car for 5 years with an off centered scoop.

looks pretty pimp... definitely like the tweaks

I'd buy one depending on the finished product

Something like this?

The centered hood looks better, even though I'm from the "form-follows-function" school. It looks "funny" off to the side...would look a little better "off-center" if the scoop were "integrated" into the "hood." It looks like it was stuck onto the hood with putty...

it was stuck on the hood with putty...lol

it was just the mockup.

^^-- hehe "funny you should mention...."

funny i should mention what ?

it was first posted in post #3 ... next time read before you comment.

here is a mockup when they did my hood. this is not the final version, but will look very very similiar. The piece layed on top is just stuck with putty. The final version will have CF ducting as well. i still prefer OEM CF over anything, but those guys that are keeping their TMIC will probably like. Also, the vent will be situated directly over the TMIC. So that means it will be slightly off center since our TMIC stock is not centered to the engine bay.

its not so bad that its off centered, but the problem is its only off by a little bit so it looks like a mistake

not feeling the off centered scoop, although its functionality over form it just looks like they didn't line up the scoop correctly... I think it would look way better if the hood scoop was integrated into the hood like the new WRX's.

I dont like the offcentered look either, looks like someone bought a scoop from autozone and didnt know how to measure. I realize it just a mock, but really everyone else that looks at the car except the owner will think its not right, and really thats not a good thing....Like srt4 owners with the back window being manual, the owners know why its done but anyone that just sits in the car is like wtf is this???

What could be done is have the scoop wider and centered but just leave the part over the intercooler open and have the extra part closed off. Im not one for tmics though

For anyone that is intrested, or maybe you all know about this hood, but I found this CorkSport's website.

MS3_Exterior_RE-Amemiya_Ram_Air_Hood.jpg

It's the RE-Amemiya Ram Air Hood. It is available in Carbon Fiber or FRP. The problem is the price. It's $1054 and can take 4 to 5 weeks to arrive from Japan. Click here and scroll down.

Don't like that look of that. The scoop looks awkward when it is that far forward. Although might look better if the hood matched the car.

I dont know why, but that hood scoop looks like a butthole.(rofl2)

dgm hood

i Want to get a carbon fiber hood for my MS3....but i want to see a picture of the vented carbon fiber hood on *************** before i buy it>?

DG Motorsports is building a MS3 for Mazdaspeed's SEMA booth.... I am waiting to see there's suposed to be a racing naca duct design also they are doing a rear difusser also

I like the Re-amaya hood, but $1,100(omg). I also like the Re-amaya front lip, but that is like a $700 for a lip. That is outragious. I know the MS3 has a small market(limited production), but the aftermarket is just a rip off(upyours)
