Dear john"neighbor" letter/noise complaint!

I don't have this problem with my neighbors, but then again all my neighbors are cows.

I live on a cow farm in the middle of nowhere.

Be careful of who you piss off, I had a neighbor when i lived with my parents who would puncture tires on any parked car facing the opposite direction of traffic. the guy never got caught in the act and took out 7 tires in one summer on my boyfriend's car alone. hopefully your neighbors aren't like that.

We just try to keep it down (in Rogue's car, my MSP is quiet) when we're driving through the neighborhood, plus no speeding, etc. We're planning on being there for awhile and want to build good relationships with our neighbors!

check this out guys! my neighbors wrote a letter and put in in my mailbox about my loud car hahaha. Wait! isn't putting something in someones mailbox illegal or a federal offense?

I think it's a polite letter. More then likely your car is to load. I think if would be very good of you to at least TRY to keep it down. If after you've done your part and they still grip, then you can crank it up.

But there is nothing wrong with a little compassion.

yeah i live in a house with my parents in a nice neighborhood, and all i have is OBX header w/ mazdaspeed axleback exhaust. I sometimes forget how loud it is outside of the car haha. Yeah i guess i could slow down a lil, but i just purchased a 2001 yamaha r6 w/ full exhaust system and im installing a jet kit now too....MY NEIGHBORS ARE GOING TO SH!T A CHICKEN!!!

Yeah.. where we moved from recently someone took 4 lugs off my car, the locked one was the only one left. After that we moved to what we thought was a nice neighborhood in town. Now the cops get called for my dog supposedly pooping in the neighbor's yard (my dog stays tied up) and every time a dog barks the cops get called. I'm not the only one with a dog, the people across the street have several that run loose occasionally.. yet she's okay with those. She never has confronted us, she just calls the cops. Go figure.

Neighbors in my area don't communicate much but there seems to be an understanding about noise. Nobody cranks a lawnmower on the weekend before 10AM, nobody shows off their loud exaust systems and nobody has a barking dog. If you'd like to keep the peace in your community during the hours that YOU like it to be quiet, I suggest you honor their request. A lawnmower near your bedroom window at 5am on a saturday is not going to be very fun for you, but bank on it if you continue to wake them up with your tailpipe.

yeah ive tried to basically roll on idle for as long as i can but im wondering i get rid of the mazdaspeed and get the corksport power series exhaust if it will be "louder" its gonna be a deeper tone but maybe not as buzzy and resonating as the mazdaspeed which is waht i think they can hear the best.
