Any cigar smokers?

I'm not a smoker, but I can appreciate the scents of unlit cigars. I was an assistant department head at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago - we had our humidor at the Alfred Dunhill store in the attached Water Tower Place mall. I loved going there and getting the cigars - they smell great to me as long as they're unlit. Once they've been ignited, blech! :p

I have bought Cigars from the water tower store before, when I lived closer to the city!

Well hey, any woman who can appreciate anything from a cigar is ok in my book!

It is interesting how they all smell a bit different - sort of like how different Scotches smell...

I never find the chance to smoke one, it's been almost a year actually. You gotta be in the "environment" and I am not old enough yet where I can go to a bar and smoke them outside watching a foot ball game or some thing. It just doesn't fit into many situations that I can find myself in.

I'm partial to avo 9's myself. I haven't had many of them in the past year because I used to smoke cigarettes too. I quit smoking cigs, and the last time I had a cigar it didn't agree with me much, so I'm cautious.

Either way, it doesn't get better than a fine cigar and a whiskey old enough to vote :)

I'm not of age, but I come from a big Irish family so alcohol is nothing new to me. I'll take a Smithwicks or Sam Adams with a cigar. Not a big whiskey, scotch, bourbon fan. Sometimes a nice ice cold glass of water goes good to.

i'm a nube cigar smoker. mostly smoke w/e my friends have or say is good. haven't smoked anything worth more than $7 tho. any suggestions would be great. oh ya, anyone know of any good cigar stores in the fort lauderdale/pompano area?

My personal recommendations would be CAO's, Carlos Torano, Ashton's. Do a little google research, I'm sure you can find a cigar store down there.

I went to Fox Valley mall today with the wife and spotted a cigar shop! I picked up a proper ligher (firebird brand) a pack of 10 small macaduno's, a punch and I forget the 3rd other cigar, based on the salesmans recommendation from my preferences. Did have a chance to light them up yet, possibly tomorrow.

im a HUGE fuente fan, also romeo y julieta reserve, dunhill, avo, macanudo, partagas, etc. here is my humidor, got some partagas and fuentes, and a cuban hiding in the bottom ;)

Very nice. Yeah, the guys in the cigar box at Fox Valley are pretty cool. Its a small little shop, good for picking up something quick. I bought my Firebird lighter and self-sharpening cutter from there.

Nice little desktop humi you got there Liquid. I too have a small one. A little bigger then yours though. mines about a 50 count.

Its definitely an expensive habit for sure. But to me it's worth it. Even on a college student budget, haha

Of those I've had the Gurkha which was a nice decent smoke. I've had the RP which I liked, I've had the Indian Tabac and don't think it's anything special. The Vegas is a keeper, I enjoy those. I'm assuming there was a typo and by "CAD" you may have meant CAO? If I'm wrong my apologies but if it is CAO I love anything from them. I recommend the Brazilia's personally.

As for the rest, never smoked them. Decent selection though. Let's get together and smoke soon
